- In this post we will learn how to How To Install MySQL on Windows 10. The same procedure can be used for installing MySQL on Windows 8 / Windows 7.
But first let's see What is MySQL . MySQL is a very popular, open source database. Officially pronounced “my Ess Que Ell” (not my sequel). Handles very large databases; very fast performance.
Why are we using MySQL? Free (much cheaper than Oracle!)
Each student can install MySQL locally. Easy to use Shell for creating tables, querying tables, etc.Easy to use with Java JDBC. While installing MySQL, it will prompt you to create a root password . At this stage please select a safe and secure password . This is a great, thorough installation video. I installed MySql Server 8.0.23, and while there were some very minor differences, 99 percent is essentially unchanged. Good work.
I observed that many of the audience for this clip are students of class 11 and class 12 in CBSE Board as they are searching for the procedure to install MySQL in there systems (it is a part of syllabus for the subject, Informatics Practices). It is really good that this channel is helping out them (including me). Thanks for the clip!

Hi, Ahmad probably there is an issue with your Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable(x86) package.
Uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable(x86) and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable(x64).
The difference between x64 and x86 is that x86 for 32 bit OS and x64 for system with 64 bit.
Then rerun the setup. It should solve the problem.
