    Arthur, please be aware that as your daughter begins to gain more success in skating, there will be a lot of haters commenting on her videos and discrediting her achievements....but don't let their nasty words bring her down...it should only fuel her to achieve more and prove them wrong. She is doing so well, someday she will stand atop the podium and be the US National Champion. Keep her grounded and eyes forward in accomplishing her dreams.

      She seems to really have a good head on her shoulders. She's one of the most consistent skaters ever. That's very important in this day and age of skaters trying new things every day but then burning out after a couple seasons due to poor base technique. She shows the opposite. Has a 3-axle, but has excellent skating skills and spins as well. Just so well rounded, i'm not worried about her at all.

      Yes, you are correct and they do that to everyone. Possibly some countries do that too. They do that in the scoring and play with the girls (past American ladies) and say that they are underrotated while their countries' skaters can do no wrong. The technical specialist has TOO MUCH POWER! Alysa is on the right track and it seems like her team (which includes her father) are all helping her in a positive way. Alysa is our country's only hope in the ladies event at this time and maybe the next Olympics because she can do a quad and a triple axel and can compete on the jumping level with all of the other Russian and Japanese girls that can do the same. We hope the judges don't mess with Alysa's head or cheats her. The judging is currently skewed against us in the ladies event. Again, you are correct with the haters. We see it in Alysa's other videos. There are 46 thumbs down when Alysa did 2 triple axels and 2 quad lutzes. That's hate and should not be in this world. Why are they looking at her video anyways and hating on it. Why can't they do something more positive and productive instead of hate? The world doesn't need people like them. Sorry to say that, but people shouldn't just go around hating or they will have a sad and ugly life for the rest of their lives. Good luck Alysa and ignore all of those jealous haters!

    Amazing execution of the donut spin.. i haven't seen one that smooth. A lot of skaters stick out their hip when grabbing the skate, which is ugly, but she does not do it. Beautiful execution of the whole move! She is SO with the music. Zagitova doesn't even come close in that department. Also Alyssa doesn't have any of that pretentious sloppiness and she has very good posture on landings and always.

    Everything looks good except for her FLIP and LUTZ jumps, both of which are severely cheated on the takeoff. They ought to take off backwards, but on both jumps, her right foot is clear forward before it leaves the ice. Secondly, both jumps are "toe" jumps, but the problem is again on the takeoff wherein she's clearly on an edge which makes them "loop" jumps. She should get these corrected asap.

    • @andreadover
      @andreadover 5 лет назад

      “Pre-rotation” of 1/4-1/2 turn is allowed - in the skating world it is called “pivoting” or “facing through” (although this isn’t the best term because to have consistent jumps a skater’s head must be anchored/last to rotate to help get over the rotation side). If you want to understand more, pay for a month of icoachskating.com or mysk8coach.com and watch some of the videos. Brian Orser (mysk8coach.com) clearly explains that even on a single axel the take off foot must pivot 1/4 turn at the last second. It is even more so the more rotations there are. This is the way world-class coaches teach jumps and has been for quite a while. Many seem to misunderstand this, those videos may help clear up misunderstanding of jump technique.
      (Disclaimer: Those videos are not meant for skaters to coach themselves - to be safe a skater must still take lessons from a qualified coach and take that coach’s recommendations. Even then it is possible for injuries to happen and it is the skater’s choice to attempt to learn any skill.)

    I love and fully support Alyssa, I think she is one of the best skaters in the U.S easily. But I wish she would stop pre rotating, it's not proper technice if she wants to be the best and it's not proper if the U.S wants to beat other federations. I don't blame her, I blame ISU for making pre rotation ok and not confronting judges when they give skaters with pre rotation a positive GOE. #ripisu

    I don't really like to watch young girl skating. They look undeveloped; the jumps are still small. This girl does have the beginning of good lines. Now that ISU has decided to stick to the 15yo rule I guess the US will be playing thee same game. Find young girls with jumps. Nuture them until they are 15 and can win senior competitions. In all likelihood they will be worn out by 17. That said good luck to Alysa; she looks like she means business.

    • @swicheroo1
      @swicheroo1 6 лет назад +12

      "I don't really like to watch young girl skating. They look undeveloped; the jumps are still small." Why don't you want to watch young skaters? They need support as they're coming up. It's not like they arrive fully formed. They mature. If you profess to desiring new and better talent, you have to follow through: It's important to support newer generations of skater, despite their flaws, their green-ness, their limitations.

    • @HelTra91
      @HelTra91 6 лет назад +4

      So do you expect all female skaters to remain hidden until they are adults? Or do you just expect females to not skate until they are adults? The ISU's rule of being 15 and older in order to qualify for seniors doesn't change anything. Young skaters who are dedicated to the sport are going to push themselves regardless. And obviously federations are going to look for young skaters with jumps, jumps make up half of the sport and having them is a sign of potential; they aren't going to go and put funding towards a skater who doens't show any promise. They will nurture them until the skaters are able to build their own support system to do that which usually happens after they enter seniors anyways. And being "worn out" by 17 is commonly a sign of puberty when the female skaters have to adjust to their growing bodies and is to be expected.
