    FINALLY, a video that is clear and easy to follow. I am trying to learn to draw and must rely on online instruction as I live in a very remote area. I'll be watching everything you have to offer!

    I think I can officially say I am hooked on your channel. 4 tabs open with different tutorials while I am working on 3 different drawings. You have an analytical approach that works well with me since being a programmer I tend to be like that LOL. Also, I couldn't help but to notice you drew in most of your wife first while some may say that you work left to right I think it says more. In drawings that include my kids, I always tend to draw them first, funny enough I do it in order of age as well, must be a subconscious thing LOL. Thanks for your great tutorials. I am going to use what I am learning and redraw an older sketch to see if I have improved.

      That's awesome that you are 'hooked' on my channel. Big compliment. Thanks! Interesting that you would point out my analytical approach. Though I don't notice that internally, my personal career (how I make a living) has been in software development as well as well as hardware (control systems, fire/security, radar systems, communication systems, etc.). So I've been accused of being analytical (left-brain) and that has confused/surprised my friends to see me doing so much right-brain stuff (photography, arts, drawing, etc.). Guess I'm geeky that way. :-)

      It's not a pencil. It's a paper blender. That's what it is called.

    Good Morning! How do you get this long tip on Kimberly 9xxb? Which scorer you used because I have Helix but Kimberly because it is thicker does not go into it ...

    • @RixCanDoit
      @RixCanDoit  7 лет назад +1

      Yes, Helix won't work. I use either the Deli Sweet Memories or the Dahle hand-crank sharpeners (see my videos on these).

    When I create a grid for drawings, I'm always lining up the pencil point slightly off of where the inch or 1/4 inch mark is on the ruler? What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix it? Having trouble, here. Thank you

    • @RixCanDoit
      @RixCanDoit  7 лет назад

      I'm not understanding your problem. You only need to create lines spaced apart in equal increments of your choosing. If 1/2 inch, make each line 1/2 inch apart. If 1 inch, make each line 1 inch apart.

      DIAMOND DRAGON Has-sam12
      H stands for hardness
      B stands for blackness.
      The higher the number, the darker/harder the pencil is.
      Example:
      2HB means a hardness level of 2 and a blackness level of 2.

      Rather than tell people you can do something better than someone else, just do it! As I always say, "..if RixCanDoIt, so can you!" Now we wait with baited breathe to see if 'Eddy Hale' can do it too...and better. LOL!
