Thanks for the review. We go to Fort Lauderdale quite often and have fallen in love with the Westin hotel . We’ve been going there for several years even before the massive remodel!! It’s employees are all wonderful and make you feel welcome. You must try it sometime. Mark
If you ever stay at Conrad Chicago, you'll realize your experience at Conrad Ft Lauderdale really wasn't that bad :) Chicago was the worst Conrad I've ever stayed at. My wife and I just stayed at the brand new Conrad Punta de Mita which was an impeccable property from service to amenities. Pls check out her Vlog "Mav Margate"
Thank you. This was a very complete review. I stayed on an executive floor in a very nice hotel in Dubai and their mini-bar was way cheaper than this Conrad one. Of course, free drinks and food in the lounge too. I think Conrad is for guests with a business spending account. No way a regular guest would even consider buying by a soft drink for $5.00😮
Global Adventurer I agree - I much prefer a premium hotel with an executive lounge... like a Hilton or Doubletree. It didn’t have a proper setup for business people (for example, the desk chair in the room was basically a cloth beach chair), so I’m not sure who would enjoy the Conrad. It’s just a tourist trap to me.
Stunning suite and property. Wish I would have gotten to stay for free. That must of been nice. Why do you think the service wasn’t up to your expectations?
I enjoyed having a free night, but I would not want to pay the normal price for a room at the Conrad. The service wasn’t very good (poor communication, lots of mistakes, really pushy for you to spend more money), and as a Hilton Diamond member, I usually receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite that is just as nice as this one, but at a standard Hilton or Doubletree hotel for less than half the price.
Glad I saw this video. My girlfriend wants me to take her here but I looked at the rooms and thought they look as normal as a 3 star hotel for that kind of price. I rather go somewhere cheaper and get cheap quality. Conrad looks overpriced

Have you tried the Fort Lauderdale Hilton? I think you will find that one better and just a tad less expensive.

If you are still out there. Is this an ok spot for a solo traveler in their 40s to go and chill out? Any coffee shops nearby etc?

How is the Conrad Fort Lauderdale the first Conrad in the United States? Opened in 2017 and definitely not the first Conrad to open in US.
I thought Indianapolis was the first in the US?
