Oh sweetie ...I cry with you and pray for you. I was barely surviving before Covid and now in economic hell; it's so hard being alone as a senior and trying to survive. Thrive would be better, but no longer see that in my future ... even though I gave more than I should have to employers.
I am homeless in ocala Florida. I am 75 yrs old. I live on a fixed income social security it goes no where. I lost my place where I was living with my son in his apt high rent increases and eviction. My son is a veteran on disability from the VA. Please pray for me and him.
My question is when do the landlords STOP RAISING THE RENT??? When is it enough??? I live in L.A. and starting price for a shoebox sized studio apt can start @ $1800-$2000+ a month. PLUS your income must be 3-4 times the rent. You wanna know why? Because the landlords want to know that you can keep up with the rent increases they have planned. WTF IS GOING ON IN OUR COUNTRY?? These are COMPLETELY UNREGULATED CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY FOR SHEER GREED. How are people getting away with this???
Tell the states to stop raising property taxes, and maybe the land lords can slow down on rent raises. Part of it is likely greed, but a lot of it is them having to offset tax costs. The whole system is working against people. Profit over people, no matter what level it's on.
It's not just the raised rent. It's the lack of (affordable) housing. There is a 10 million ARTIFICIAL housing shortage in America, simply to keep rents and rates high for the banks and land lords. Housing has become a money-making scheme instead of, you know, just building homes for people because it's the human thing to do...
If I had 3 wishes, they would be IF I, at 76, could live in a huge house that I could house some decent, homeless people in with me. I have no balance so I must use a walker. He is the kind of person who needs others in his life and having a place where we could give a handful of kind, good, needful for their life homeless people a home, yet have the things we have here...boy would that ever be nice. We live on SS and him on SSI, but that is my wish. I wish fora good America and food and healthcare for all. AND my other wish is to put HOMELESSNESS NO MORE! A SAFE PLACE FOR EVERYONE TO LIVE!
Remember the work farm's? Remember the communes like Twin Oakes in Virginia? Everybody needs to unite and band together...in a community in order to be HOME🎉

I have lived homeless since I was twelve years of age as a runaway street kid. For several years until I was conscripted to fight a bush war in South Africa - I had no education and a family who abandoned ship. after the army, I lived in my old car for a few years, and again, when I left South Africa, I lived for two years in a car to survive and feed my family. When I see countries dish out tax money to the world, my brain and soul are wobbly in my head as I cannot understand how this can happen. All I know is that Jesus knows. What you do to your countrymen is what you do unto Jesus.
And they won't put up money for people that's coming to a country illegal and he's just old ladies on the street it is no justice these people are really out of their minds you have homeless people here that's living in parks and tents house shame on them shame on them

Where are the so-called Christians in this town? You’d think at least the do-gooder legalists would jump on this opportunity to love thy neighbor. Action speaks louder than words, people. Pure selfishness. Karma to you.
They are here, BUT they rarely if ever help the homeless. There is a mission here with VERY strict rules and required weekly service that does some help, but the regular church goers, I dont see them anywhere helping
@@suen5006 Yea, they dont preach about helping thy neighbor at all very often. They mainly preach that Jesus did all the work for them and died for their sins and they just go with that :(

@@suen5006 i doubt it, i've been waiting years for help. all the aid money goes to organizations that do the minimum with lots of restrictions...instead of the money actually going to the people that need it.
You can see the distress on her face bless her. And she isn’t alone. These people have worked hard most of their lives to end up being discarded by the people paid to watch out for them. It’s horrible.
OMG when I see people like this who are so stressed out every day with just the basics of life. It’s just terrible, America should have housing for everyone as part of the Bill of Rights!
My heart breaks for her and others in this situation. It could happen to anyone so we all should have more compassion and do anything we can to help people in this situation.
I’m homeless and it is because of greed. Only greed. The laziness of the owners who “just want full market value and really just don’t want to do all that paperwork “. That’s exactly what I was told and it hurt when I realized that my SSDI and my being 74 years old were not important enough to the greedy young folks who didn’t give a damn! It hurts to be thrown away. We worked for more years than those young property owners have lived and now we are only garbage to them. It hurts. It’s unfair. It’s wrong. It’s dangerous. It’s unhealthy. It’s depressing. It’s embarrassing. It’s totally out of our control. There’s no end in sight. It’s frightening. To be so alone, to still have some self respect & faith in God Almighty but have no idea how we will survive seems very hard to understand just how this once wonderful country could be so far off track. When I get cold, hungry, frightened, exhausted and have nobody to turn to knowing that the ones who put me out are so willing and able to do it without much thought makes it so much worse. I’m not garbage. I’m an American, I paid my taxes and kept up my bills. It hurts to be discarded and watch the illegal aliens break the law and get everything handed to them! They receive twice what I do! And I got kicked to the bottom of the list for a home. SO WRONG!!
Poor little sweetheart. 💔 ALL humans deserve dignity. Heartless, selfish people denigrate the lowly and trample the crushed soul. In the end their lack of humanity will be their legacy. They “other” others, closing their fists to the needy and the lost. They are actually proud of themselves for doing it. To them it is a dog eat dog world and they are the winners. They spend their energy being paranoid that others are coming to get what they’ve got, no regard for the suffering or realize they would be doing the same thing if it was their family starving or suffering.
Prayers for this sweet soul, I can tell she is very smart and kind hearted. Please give her a hug. How can we donate to her? Maybe set up a go fund me. Thank you for continuing to show people what homelessness is like. In ancient times the elderly were looked up to, cared for and respected, Now anyone over the" ripe old age of 50" is considered elderly, discarded and laughed at. What a joke. Those who treat homeless and elderly like this will actually be the joke in the end.. This country is under the judgment of the Most High God.. Word from the Lord I received yesterday was "My righteous hammer is coming down on the world, mystery Babylon(America) is first. Judgements rolling 4th swiftly." Note to all the greedy uncaring landLORDS -God is judging our heart condition not our pocketbook.
This is heartbreaking. I lived in Grants Pass years ago. Winter can be harsh but summer is brutal. I remember looking at thunderheads building in the sky and just praying it would rain as it had been over 100° daily for a couple of week. No one should have to live like this.
Social Security won’t rent you an apartment. The low income Apts are full of druggies and the waitlists for 55 or 62 and over only are years on waitlists. If u were a CEO u can get up to $4200 a month on SS BUT CEOS don’t even need SS. REGULAR WORKING PEOPLE GET $2000-2600 a month. Not enough to rent an apt and eat, pay utilities and car repairs.

Im employed as a therapist and chose not to stress myself out struggling to pay bills. I met with local government officials to put a face to the working class homeless. America is ghetto smh
Hey, we are living in a time where people need their own space a lot of times, so they can heal from trauma without needing to worry. But if you need to team up with anybody who is respectful, kind, quiet, and can pay half the rent most of the time (like all of us, we are not usually guaranteed a steady income) please reach out. I am in my own therapy, do not drink, drug, smoke, or sex. I love to clean the house and my joy is in the simple things in life. Xx God bless.
That lady is one right there. Go help her! Otherwise, look around. 99% of homeless people are honest, decent and hurting. If they're addicted to something, they're probably trying to numb the pain of being tossed out to die and being treated like crap by people all too happy to blame them for their situation! Same with mental illness. You know, that can include depression, anxiety, PTSD and mental anguish from the trauma of being tossed out to basically fight for your life and having everything that was your life cruelly ripped away. Try imagining how you would feel being in that position. Not very pleasant, is it? Think of how they are fighting just to survive in a society that would happily see them dead - just for the "unpardonable sin" of being too poor to afford the outrageous rents and housing prices that corporate America demands and property owners are all too happy to shore up in hopes of getting a lion's share of the pie. And these people pay the price for this country's greed!!!
That's the hard part, I've had quite alot of dealings with homless in my town. The sad part is the vast majority have substance abuse problems and mental illness.
@@Dustandfuzz Even if she was on drugs, she's still a human being in trouble and needs help! I really feel bad that we live in a world where we put a judgment on people to deem whether they're worth helping or saving or not. And if they're deemed "not worthy", then they're just abandoned to die with a shrug of the shoulders and a noncommittal "Oh, well..." What kind of society have we become??
Can only hope people see one day this could be them. One situation or crisis away from this. Especially heartbreaking to see and vulnerable elderly people being discharged and forgotten. Hope more awareness and compassion can happen soon instead of harassment policies and criminalizing homeless with 6:35 insufficient housing. What do others think?
I know from experience that landlords have to much power and they misuse it on fragile souls. Look up the law. They have 100 percent authority to evict for any reason and they abuse because it od by law

I helped pay something for them, then wrote me and told me that the organization that was helping, the Christian organization and the place she was staying turned against her. I figured there’s something wrong there if they stopped helping. I figured they wanted my help, but they wanted this person out. that’s when I decided. I can’t do this. I ask if they drink but they said no. If you’re not gonna help yourself, I can’t help you. I couldn’t get involved after that. I was sorry to come to that decision. I said that they have to follow rules. I think about this person and hope that they’re OK. But what do you do? I could’ve helped more, but I’m not throwing my money away either. I’m so ashamed of this country because mental illness, drugs, and alcohol are rampant. They don’t care. Nobody’s perfect. I know that I’m the first one to say that because I’m far from it. I feel for her. I'm now homeless too. Hospitals won't take u if your sick, stepfamily won't help u. I'm going back to hospital cause I have eye infection now. I have stasis dermatitis. I'm in pain.. this poor woman...I feel her pain.❤😢 I worked all my life hard. I gave and helped people. The homeless seniors need so much help. 😢
The loneliness and despair of old age. My heart breaks for her. May God please help her in His mysterious way. May Jesus comfort her and wrap her in his arms.

I am so sorry. It can really happen to almost anyone.
Heartbreaking
I agree!! Heartbreaking
God bless her sweet soul 🙏 Hugs and prayers.
💕
It is unconscionable that our country allows homelessness to happen. Affordable and safe homes can be built.
It's a good thing that you're continuing to highlight the situation in grants pass as we await the supreme Court's ruling.
Capitalism...great for the people on top
Might ask when the government stops giving massive amounts to illegals while people like this dear lady are homeless
Certain enemies are trying to destroy this country and some of our own people have taken money to help them.
I live in Wisconsin, in a small apartment with my good friend and partner, who is 59 soon, and has Scholiosis and severe autism. He just had open heart surgery on Feb 19 2024 but is getting rehab.
Amen!
Amen
Remember the work farm's? Remember the communes like Twin Oakes in Virginia? Everybody needs to unite and band together...in a community in order to be HOME🎉
I feel so sorry for this lady. You can see the pain and trauma she has endured. I hope she can get the resources she needs to get housing.
Makes me want to praise God thank you so much that I have a roof over my head.
Amen to that. ❤💙🐧
As one u tuber always says : What some people take for granted , other people are praying for. I say praise God for what we already have and let's try to help others as much as possible.
No country should be complacent with people living outside. All these nations will be judged for these things.
o yes they will
How can one judge that which is literally swept away and forgotten?

AMERICA, Wtf?!?!
As if these poor souls, dont live a life of hell by sleeping on streets, under bridges, in the woods, in the underground, in cars, vans, young, old, children, elderly, veterans....then some genius COMES UP WITH THE IDEA TO GIVE OUT TICKETS FOR BEING POOR AND HURTING... I JUST WISH ALL THE POLITICIANS WOULD BE FORCED TO LIVE HOMELESS FOR JUST 1 MONTH TO SEE WHAT THEY GO THRU EACH DAY....I BET THINGS WOULD CHANGE QUICKLY IF THEY WALKED IN THEIR SHOES.....SHAME ON AMERICA!!!!
How about a day? They couldn't do it
The way the homeless and elderly are being treated in this country is beyond words while billions of dollars are being spent overseas please contact your congresss and senators and tell them how you feel I want to cry 😭 so sad May God find a way to hear.
Our Veterans are mistreated also nauseating.
I wish all her pain could go away.😢y😢
I have lived homeless since I was twelve years of age as a runaway street kid. For several years until I was conscripted to fight a bush war in South Africa - I had no education and a family who abandoned ship. after the army, I lived in my old car for a few years, and again, when I left South Africa, I lived for two years in a car to survive and feed my family. When I see countries dish out tax money to the world, my brain and soul are wobbly in my head as I cannot understand how this can happen. All I know is that Jesus knows. What you do to your countrymen is what you do unto Jesus.
I’m so sorry 😢
I hope she can connect with her family
And they won't put up money for people that's coming to a country illegal and he's just old ladies on the street it is no justice these people are really out of their minds you have homeless people here that's living in parks and tents house shame on them shame on them
I absolutely hate the 3 wishes question. It's cruel and exploitive.
I hate it too. I always cringe when he asks. It feels so cruel, and yet he is obviously a very kind person.

@@inthesky7836 The so-called Christians in Grants Pass are not really following Jesus.
@@suen5006 Yea, they dont preach about helping thy neighbor at all very often. They mainly preach that Jesus did all the work for them and died for their sins and they just go with that :(

@mts43 well maybe if trump payed his taxes it might be more and bozos like him ( corporate welfare)
Im in grants pass and often help the homeless, but have very limited funds. I do all I can as it is. If someone wants to sponsor Brenda, Id be happy to find her and help her directly.
Can you find her? Is she getting any case management services from anyone who can at least make her more comfortable and get her a phone, there are federal programs that can help with that? What is happening?
@@suen5006 I probably could If I had too, there are about 3 spots Id have to look. Yea medicaid allcare has a counselor that can assign phones I think
@@suen5006 i doubt it, i've been waiting years for help. all the aid money goes to organizations that do the minimum with lots of restrictions...instead of the money actually going to the people that need it.
Nobody knows how it is until they go through it
This truly hurts me to see anyone homeless but more so the elderly.
She needed a hug right there at the end 🥺😭
SO WRONG!!
My heart breaks 💔 for this woman. Prayers for her.
THANKS for sharing
Welcome to America
"I feel dead" damn, this is so tragic and heartbreaking
Poor little sweetheart. 💔 ALL humans deserve dignity. Heartless, selfish people denigrate the lowly and trample the crushed soul. In the end their lack of humanity will be their legacy. They “other” others, closing their fists to the needy and the lost. They are actually proud of themselves for doing it. To them it is a dog eat dog world and they are the winners. They spend their energy being paranoid that others are coming to get what they’ve got, no regard for the suffering or realize they would be doing the same thing if it was their family starving or suffering.
It's shameful how the local politicians and community treats them.
It will come full circle.
Karma.
Sweet Baby! Heartbreaking...❤!
Oh so much pain. Poor woman , life is too challenging. Sending
Love and Light to the dear lady.
So traumatised.
What can we do for people like her?
But they have shelters for animals and they feed them, help them regain health and rehome them...where is the empathy for people gone?
May Gods grace, Gods goodness. and Gods tender mercies reign supreme in all the lives of of ALL homeless people including this fine lady.
All that Hope and Change Making America Great Again 👍

This is heartbreaking. I lived in Grants Pass years ago. Winter can be harsh but summer is brutal. I remember looking at thunderheads building in the sky and just praying it would rain as it had been over 100° daily for a couple of week. No one should have to live like this.
❤🙏 prayers for you all
I feel so sorry for her
at 62 she can start drawing social security
Hopefully she worked enough to have a decent amount to live on
If she worked
Social Security won’t rent you an apartment. The low income Apts are full of druggies and the waitlists for 55 or 62 and over only are years on waitlists. If u were a CEO u can get up to $4200 a month on SS BUT CEOS don’t even need SS. REGULAR WORKING PEOPLE GET $2000-2600 a month. Not enough to rent an apt and eat, pay utilities and car repairs.
@@jonathanjacques7250she said 2 jobs, a home, a family. Crap happens to older women. I know,.. my life exploded when my partner died suddenly at 49, I was in hospital recovering from major surgery. I was instantly homeless, unable to work and alone. I lived in my car for 3 years. Even my family had no idea, I was so ashamed. I was a Chef for 30 years. After the surgery I was disabled. Be kind, don't judge others.
AND you have to have a home address to collect. Homelessness is an epidemic and many are there through no fault of their own. Those heartless and ignorant commenters who talk about she “should have had a plan…”. How uneducated and uncaring can you be. There are thousands of people homeless in this country who worked their entire lives at menial jobs that had NO benefits and POOR pay. I just wonder where her family is. Unfortunately, the family is so fragmented nowadays. Family is supposed to be a net that catches a member when they fall down and help them until they get back on their own again.

Our elected city council turned down federal and state money to build shelters and treatment centers to go along with measure 110. They chose this over helping people. And we have so many RW extremists in town who won’t stop voting for evil people.
She is breaking my heart 😢
Just moved into my SUV because my landlord raised the rent $650 in a year just because she could. Invisible isn't the word to describe what its like. Traumatic as it is.

No she's not okay she has a broken heart what a stupid question
If I knew a good honest homeless person . I would help them any way I could !
Good honest homeless are hard to find!
That's the hard part, I've had quite alot of dealings with homless in my town. The sad part is the vast majority have substance abuse problems and mental illness.
@@denisemayosky1955 She is an addict. And I think by good honest homeless person, he doesn’t mean someone on drugs.
So very sad, Father bless this lady, So it be! 🙌💛🙌

Oh my,i feel so bad for this nice lady and i hope she gets everything she deserves 6:35
Her landlord needs to meet a very good lawyer to put him in his place. God will do it one day.
We are hearing only one side of why she was evicted!
I know from experience that landlords have to much power and they misuse it on fragile souls. Look up the law. They have 100 percent authority to evict for any reason and they abuse because it od by law
😢😢😢😢. I wish I could help her. I helped one person that you had on this channel. This person had a place to live temporarily that a Christian organization helped get. So I wasn’t being judgmental. It depresses me.
Always help yourself😮
