If things like this that causes morale to go down in the services. There needs to be a review board to make sure there’s no discrimination.

You're darn right the military should improve their leadership evaluation process. This isn't the first instance of the promotion of incompetent troop leaders.

I find it odd, that these Commanding Officers are being relieved for 'lack of confidence' yet the HIGHER LEVEL Commanders still have THEIR jobs! How much confidence can the Military Leaders have in these 'Senior Commanders'... after selecting subordinates that 'need' to be relieved?

I was a Navy CT who went from E1 to CPO to CWO4 1973 to 1995. We ever had this crap happen back then.

This is a review of the Commander’s impressive resume, with no actual content regarding her removal from command. She may have inherited some problems from the previous commander and upon discovering the problems was herself held accountable because to address the real issue would have meant the navy actually promoted an incompetent person who held the command position before her. Far easier to sacrifice the junior officer and save face, in the good ole boys club. I know this crap happens because of personal experience. Not all senior officers are credible but they are all human.

Former Navy CT here. I agree. The cryptology field itself demands bright people, and her resumé, which as you say is quite impressive, bespeaks somebody who worked hard in her positions and for those degrees. She is no "DEI hire" so we can only speculate about what happened since this video contained nothing in that regard.

She must have screwed up big time. Maybe she was fired because she openly supported President Trump???? in the military these days, that is worse than being strange.

It’s the Peter Principle. Sometimes a person is promoted to a level of incompetence.

Some people are more suited to staff positions than command.
    Both are valuable.
A "conveyor-belt" approach to command will lose valuable competent members who could be profitably retained as specialists in their fields.
