London Bridge is not in Warrnambool either. It is on the Great Ocean Road in between Port Campbell and Peterborough. About a forty minutes drive distance, east from Warrnambool.
This is scary as whenever I'm coaxed into going along to publicly frequented, dangerous looking places for thrill seeking tourists, I always calm myself by saying the following......"Well I've never heard, of any tourists dying because of these ancient structures collapsing, in the newsheadlines. @@rubiconnz1754 No, I saw it fall after January 1998 I was 27 and celebrated my birthday in Sydney January in 1998. Then we headed for the Great Ocean Road in Victoria some time after that and while standing from a lookout to the right of the London Bridge I saw it collapse. What I noticed was how lucky the people were to have not gone down with the arch and the black helicopter and how the arch fell in such huge square blocks....
i never gave it any thought and coming back over 20 years later to reminisce about what I saw I discover some other date to what I witnessed in the historical record. I saw what I saw some time after Jan 1998 and I have no explanation for it what I saw and it freaks me out as they're is no historical record of what I witnessed. I dont know what to make of it? I think about contacting the ex that I dumped in Brisbane to verify what I saw, I was also with a recently divorced Irish woman who was travelling with us who celebrate her 50'th around that time and traveled to Fiji to celebrate her 50 in 2 different time zones...who knows what the fck she was into....she rented the volvo, what a dump that car was but I will tell you it was extremely foggy heading off the Great Ocean Road that night and I asked the 50 year old bag to slow down the fog was so close to the window.... If that helps in the time line.. Make of it as you will it freaks me out to this day, I saw it fall but the historical record say's it happened 8 yrs earlier. I have no idea what happened but I know what I saw and I'm tempted to contact the ex to verify it......
