When you are in a landslide I don't think you'd have much breath for screaming with your chest getting beaten & all that weight - if in the UK it would be like 'oh dear, oh my, blimey, blast,' etc. Maybe she is preparing for that eventuality. Admirable planning, so British.
Why in the world do women have to scream at or about things that will not harm them? I'm thinking, "It took thousands of years for this cliff to be weakened to the point of collapse, and they were lucky enough to be right there to see it happen". And then the screaming started and wrecked the sound of the event.
Screaming is an innate, natural fear response, to alert others to danger. Agreed that some people get carried away screaming. This woman cannot help herself, and likely she also freezes on the spot. Though someone may save your life some day by screaming.

I wonder if the people there watching this event considered that they are standing on a cliff edge made of exactly the same material, and exactly the same age? Just the rumbling from the one that collapsed could easily have caused the one they were on to do the same.

When you are in a landslide I don't think you'd have much breath for screaming with your chest getting beaten & all that weight - if in the UK it would be like 'oh dear, oh my, blimey, blast,' etc. Maybe she is preparing for that eventuality. Admirable planning, so British.
Yep someone screams like that for no reason id be telling her to shut the fck up or ill throw her off. Damned idiot
very high quality, very smart idea to stand on a collapsing cliff, to record it collapsing, I love it
Don’t you just love when you can hear the wind through a camera?
Hi there I just love the sound of the wind especially when I am tucked up in bed and to here the rain and thunder it's a great sound🌬🌩⚡🌊very natural
I think that was a woman screaming.
It’s about time that gave way...I’ve been waiting thousands of years for this!

Have you ever been in a movie theater ? People laugh , people applaud , scream , yell and cry .. People react differently , some are very drawn in and sensitive to it while others react in varying degrees from hyper to nearly what could only be described as comatose !
@@elainelee4273 Women always scream if something unexpected is happening. That is at least better than cursing at their hushands.
@@toobmaniac, in the theatre where I go, if you are not a child and you scream or yell in non-horror movie, you are kicked out, because it's disrespectful and ruins the experience for everyone. Exactly what happened there. The difference between a child and an adult is that the last one learned to control and tame his thoughts and emotion at the right place and the right time.

And your point is ?
Never understood why people scream when a event happens. If their life is in danger? Then yes.
Rare sight. Thanks for sharing
Kudos to the camera man, A once in a lifetime camera op, well filmed. Rare on RUclips
Why is there the need to squeal .Get a grip.
The complaints about the screaming are becoming as annoying as the screaming. We get it, we get it.
It's a woman thing - I don't get it either!
Wow! It looked like that was all solid granite before! Didn't look like it was that loose! Wow that's amazing!
The entire comment section is talking about screaming woman, wtf
I was gonna give them all a thumbs up but my finger got tired.
+cheekibreeki. Yep! You got it. She damn near took the attention from the cliff collapse, with that fucking high pitch screaming.
nothing special about the video.....only the scream
Was just gonna say.
honestly and without bias, she ruined the video. You know they used to slap women who screamed like this for no reason to make her regain her senses.
I’ve always wondered how cliffs commit suicide, now I know.
Cliff: You know, I've been here for millions of years now. I think it's time for a change. I'm going to change things up a bit now.
True cameraman right here! Even with the screaming woman and the chaos, he still kept his frame solid the be whole time!
Now we have the evidence. Women will scream at anything and everything, even a cliff collapse.
*some* women.....
*MOST* women.
Not all women, well, at least not me. I just don't understand the need to scream, it collapsing wasn't a danger to her as she was so far away. What the hell is the screaming for? Like nails on chalkboard.
Please marry me.
and at mice too, or crawling insects. and women hate the sight of frogs. give her a frog in her hand and you will get high a high volume scream. Women also scream by suggestive thinking.
"Oh, I'm pleased I caught that." Understatement of the day. :)
I want to know how they knew the cliff was going to collapse?
It had been cracking for weeks and they'd just closed the cycle path. The guy filming was checking the path
Woman let out a low pre-collapse scream earlier in the morning - signaling the full collapse a bit later.
They could hear "young ones"playing in the distance. They knew there was something up with cliff.
@@SilentKnight43 LMAO
He was going to propose marriage, that is why his finger was ready for the record button
Northern Cliffs: These cliffs have been here for thousands of years!!
Also Northern Cliffs: Alright, Imma head out
Great shot man, I just wish you had another camera to film the wave that the cliff made when it hit the water.
Exactly, very disappointing
I agree with Loni Carr,,I thought the guy has some kind of large bird with him,,made me wonder,,I wanted to hear the sound of the collapse, not that annoying squealing, killed the vid.
It's a personal video shared with you, ingrate.
Cliff: struggles to do cliff stuff
Humans: “you fail.”
I wonder if the people there watching this event considered that they are standing on a cliff edge made of exactly the same material, and exactly the same age? Just the rumbling from the one that collapsed could easily have caused the one they were on to do the same.
great camera work, thanks
My favorite part was when the cliff collapsed
I like the part when the cliff was collapsing
Did you see that bit where the rocks fell into the water? Good bit, that.
I liked it when the woman was screaming.
Awwwwwesome video! Props to the person who didn't flinch filming!
Nice capture. Thank you for posting!
Wow, that's impressive! Lucky to have been there at the right moment.
I enjoy filming cliff collapses on the edge of an adjacent cliff that definitely won't collapse.
Why should it suddenly collapse it didnt after all those years?
But if it would, the video would sure to go viral and make a lot of money for your heirs...
ich bims gravity sucks the world will settle flat if not for plates colliding and volcanoes
To ich bims: Why shouldn't you put some sort of punctuation in your sentences?
Don't know the weather, but maybe freeze cycles slowly weakening a seam?
what's up with the screaming ??
0:39 *Cliff violently collapses and crashing into the sea*
British guy filming: "Quite peaceful that"
I wonder if they thought to look around their own feet to see what might be cracking there too.
Amazing capture of the errosive power of nature! Thank you for posting and sharing this awesome event!
Well done to the photographer for holding the camera steady
Erosion is not a failure. Its a successful transformation of material.
your a credit to geologist everywhere, from a student studying at derby, clearly someone knows their stuff. well done and good job
I live just around the corner from this cliff - I can well understand why she shrieked. It's quite a sheer drop WITHOUT the rock fall. Watching it must have been a hell of a shock.
Time to go rock hunting, a whole bunch has been exposed.
Probably give it a while first ;)
jannisares underrated comment.
Exactly, might find a trilobite or two
Wonder if it ever occurred to them that the cliff they were standing on was made of the same material?
Just lower the volume when you watch this video.
Whole lotta shriekin' goin' on.
Thank you for sharing this magnificent video.
I'm surprised there wasn't someone on the very edge of the cliff taking a selfie.
took millions of years for that to happen right in front of your eyes.
+alitlweird One of the best comments ever! Thanks for reminding us inconsequential humans of what a tiny piece of history we represent. 20,000 years (or so) for "modern" humans out of 4.4 Billion, (ooops, sorry, only 3.5 billion since life evolved), what a joke. We take up less than .000000057% of history. Or if the Earth's history was an hour we would take up the last 0.123 seconds.
And in that Short of time frame this vane and ego driven populace are the ones who destroy it. Notice the desire to control and/or populate planets or destroy incoming asteroids aka space debris?
The probability of seeing this!! Really cool.
Earth just went from being 30% dry land to being 29.99% dry land.
This Millions of Years time lapse function on these cameras now a days is amazing!
Steady as a rock filming, that dude isn't even tempted to pan to the huge wave created!
Yeah, Tsunami heading for New York......
Steady as a rock? Um… you do know that the rocks in this video aren’t very steady, right? LOL…
You could say that her screaming gets her "rocks off"
😂😂👍👍
I'm glad he brought a 1990's webcam with him to record this.
Alan Parsons wrote a great song about this comment section many years ago...."Psycho Babble"....
Who would have thought a simple cliff collapse could have caused so many people to shout their twisted inner thoughts to the world?...
Although....There is a lot of great material for any struggling comedians out there!....
