Really Mary you didn’t even think to ask her why she was upset? this makes me happy that my parents never played favorites. They had too many of us to play favorites with. That is just awful. Parents who do that really should stop after the first one. Or maybe two. Poor kid I know that was acting but still that’s very good acting. Sheldon could get a new picture but having your feelings hurt for any reason take some more time then getting a new picture. I know he didn’t want a new picture but still he could have at least fixed it like he did try too. But still ? At least George didn’t play favorites I don’t think. He had a good heart to his kids all of them.
Mary comes across as such a loving mother on the big bang theory, and Sheldon holds her in high esteem, and had not much to say about his dad, even though this show portrays his father as a much better parent

Missy is honestly dramatic in this episode. I've been through many break ups and I've been left out in my friend groups and my parents forget to pick me up from school plenty of times. And I never do that. She's really dramatic as a pre teen

I was no Sheldon but goddamn I never got special treatment. I in fact I remember a time when I funk a math test. When my dad found out he force me out of bed. Grabbing me from the hair and neck down the stair into the kitchen and force me to do math problem at 2 am. Meanwhile, all I ever seen her get is a spank on the butt.

Favoring one child over the others seems like immature parenting to me. How could you be so for God that you are against a game like dungeons and dragons (which isn't that big of a deal to me) yet you treat one child you almost lost terribly. God gave you your daughter, he let your daughter live when you thought she wasn't going to make it, then you treat her badly when God showed you mercy.
