I play the Guzheng and given the quality of the rest of the video, I don't think that it's the camera. Some people just prefer looser strings because they break less easily.
One of my fave tune. It's got straight down the line interpretation of 菊花台. Even though the face was unseen in the clip, I could almost tell who the artist was. Good on her !!!
Sounds great. Was impressed by the way that those strings flop around like that after they are plucked. I had always been under the impression that the strings on the gu zheng are fairly tight. Really interesting.
They are quite tight. That's just a funny thing with the camera's framerate "resonating" with the strings, making them look looser than they should be. You can really see it on the 6th string around 1:37.

Can someone tell me why the last 6 strings -- #16/17/18/19/20/21 have no tensions ??? that means they are not making any sounds for the recording , thus the low notes sound are from the pre recorded music.

its not the quality of the camera, its the framerate. try filming a desktop fan or anything that moves quickly. there will be a similar effect
