It's so inspiring to see a creator say Yes I upgraded but look at everything I did with an 80D. What a fantastic episode, Shaun. Also, I laughed a lot while you hunted for your windscreen. The last shot was just....wow.
Great to see you back out there and with your brand new R5, which I think you've been wanting for a while? I'm sure you've been having a blast with it - it's an awesome camera 👍 Fantastic for bird/wildlife photography too. That last image was sublime! Great atmosphere and soft colour palette all worked together nicely to complement the temple partially hidden in the mist. Looking forward to seeing what else you can create with your new special toy. And finally Shaun, why on earth did you sleep in your car?!
That’s right, Valerie. I’ve been dreaming about an upgrade for a while now and am so excited to get this camera. It is a massive upgrade for me. I love that last shot of the temple too and considering how far I was from it, I was glad to have the amazing resolution of the R5 to be able to crop in a bit closer. The car! Sunrise was at about 4:30 and I live about 2 hours from the lake. I couldn’t hack waking at 2 a.m. to get there in time to shoot, so I was prepared to sleep in a tent. Because of the rain, I gave up on that idea and settled for the car. 😂 I’ve not decided yet if it would have been better to wake up at 2 and drive from home or sleep in a tent in the rain. The car had me feeling like a sardine.
@@shaunkeenanphoto yep, I've also found that the bump in resolution is so handy for cropping. 😅 I'm probably half your size and I think even I'd feel like a sardine!
Nice episode. Gotta love that mist assist.
I may or may not have coined it, but I’ll definitely use it.
Hi Mr.Shaun. Oswin loves the second picture!! We love your pictures!! So beautiful❤
Thank you so much! I’m glad to hear you all enjoyed the photos.
Congratulations on the new gear! It looks like an awesome set-up.
Thank you! It’s a great camera and the 70-200 is a fantastic lens. I just need to get a wide angle lens next.
And Mist Assist is a go😄 The atmospheric hut was my preference. Some nice images 👍
Cheers, Darren. Most of the images on this day were Mist Assisted. 😂 It was great day to break in the new camera.

It’s going to be hard to let go of the 80D. It served me so well and I captured some truly wonderful images with it.
So happy the last shot made it onto your favourite list of 23👍 well worth the wet backside 😁
Many thanks! I just printed that one for a client and it came out beautifully! So glad to hear you like it too. 😊
