Both Muk and Arbok are tremendously underrated. And ofc, Weezing is one of the best 1-stage pokes around, if not the best. I play both Weezing and Arbok, with a 1-of Grimer and Muk, and it's been doing wonders. My favorite deck so far, with Weezing my favorite pokemon. But Arbok has won me so many games too. @@2001jrc so far im using: Sabrinax2 Kogax2 Potionx2 Researchx2 Pokeballx2 And ofc Ekansx2 Arbokx2 Koffingx2 Weezingx2 (just got my 2nd full art lol, perfect) Grimerx1 Mukx1 If you want more options to retreat or pivot, you can replace one or both Sabrinas for 1 or 2 X Speed. Personally i prefer Sabrina, though.
I also play a 1 of Grimer and Muk. Muk is really good at taking that last winning point and nothing else and in the late game you're likely going to find the full evolution line.

you literally said it in your own comment, koga doesn't retreat, it returns the cards to your hand. he literally said chat pepega'd and confused him, you can koga after getting cornered by arbok. it did light up btw, rewatch it again, he just cut dead air from the video to save time but you can see it for a couple frames

When it comes to the competitive Pokemon question, thanks to the resources given in newer games, there pretty much isn’t a reason to hack anymore. The exceptions would be if someone doesn’t even play the games and solely cares about competitive play, and Tera shards in Scarlet/Violet. I’d be more disappointed than anything if someone felt the need to hack EVs/IVs but came in with 5 jank Tera types because they only planned to Tera one Pokemon. In older games without the resources, I fully understand both sides. People wouldn’t want to need to breed/reset for perfect IVs and Nature or grind out the EVs, but at the same time the people who do that stuff would want a more even playing field.

Seems fun, sadly I don't have all the cards to try, but you can also try kengiskhan instead of eggboy and play fighting energy so that you can attack with golem even if you don't draw brock
@MegaMogwai this is a cool deck idea, it hurt a lot though to see you forget to click the ability with Weezing while it was on the bench throughout the video. The main ones that I remember are multiple times in the first game against Arbok, at 26:20 when you went Weezing instead of Muk to get the ability tap + OHKO, and then at 39:20 against the Bulbasaur.
@@igitur I just omega failed the reading comprehension check on this one whoops, thanks for the correction. I played a Gren deck and my friend who also signed up brought Hypno, so I fsr just assumed Weezing's ability also worked on the bench. I don't have the card yet so that definitely didn't help
You know, I’m wondering why base Articuno isn’t used over the Ex version in the starmie version. The paralysis is pretty clutch. Like I get the 10 dmg to each bench Pokemon but that doesn’t really have any synergy with anything in the deck unless you are playing greninja. Is the health and 20 extra dmg really worth the 2 points you give if articuno goes down? Would make you less misty reliant too since you could then use articuno as a tank to build resources with regular articuno
Loool 100% agree with you and this games tournament scene. This game is too much of a coin flip simulator for me to try and play it competitively, but it is hella fun as a casual game

He was stuck. Muk couldn't retreat. Yes he had a koga but if he used the koga to get the Muk out and switch to wheezing he wouldn't shave enough energy to retreat and swap to the second Muk.
@@Shermie exactly! Even after drawing koga wheezing didn't have energy to retreat after poison. So he would have been stuck with wheezing in. He played it exactly as it should have been.

Could you try out a deck I have been using to counter meta? It’s arbok, meinfoo, helioptile, with only dark energy. I run it with 2x Sabrina, prof, Giovanni for a little bit more fire power. I only have one x speed and pokeball just for quicker pivots and to get the basic I need. I have a high win rate against pika and meetwo and decent against water but that mostly depends on misty. Would love to see you try it or improve it.
This deck is pretty selfexplainatory and these pokemon were probably designed to go together in the first place but its still fun to see these kinds of decks. also, its so damn funny seeing people becoming tribal and discriminatory over which text box they're typing in. its just so damn funny
you should try a deck with pidgeot and arbok together. Drive off forces them to switch out their active pokemon and arbok prevents them for switching back. The deck is kinda toxic. I saw poke dexx use it.
I have been working with muk, ended up with a deck that has 2 grimer and no muk. But I have been thinking possibly Nidoking/muk. Or tentacruel/muk. But there just aren't enough poison effects yet to use him effectively. Need a non evolution pokemon that applies it other than grimer. Been playing a wigglytuff ex/wheezing deck tho. And it's been slaying. She sweeps well even without the occasional lucky sleep
It'd be interesting to see you build decks based on viewers' collections, free to play players or low spend, to see what you can do without multiple dupes of cards etc.
i tried this deck and not having Sabrina made Moltres/Zard opponents almost impossible, specially because they always seems to have their moltres ready on turn 1.
Ive been trying to pull Muk for weeks as a F2P player to complete the 151. I may just have to buy it when I get enough pack points. Ive pulled crown rares and rainbow arts but no MUK!
There is this deck I've created cuz I wanna play a pikachu ex deck but don't have it. It's a grass deck that uses Pincer as replacement for pika ex and likitoungue for zapdos ex. Then Executor Ex for more damange. Then I realized it's a coin flip deck hahaha 🤣 . Try it if you could. It's actually a fun aggro rng deck
Ok hear me out…Greninja/Magneton deck with 2 Farfetched. Magneton is incredibly self sufficient with its ability and synergizes well with Gren. I won 7 in a row on the non-ex lobby
I get that misty CAN be scary but it has like a 90% miss rate 😅 I’ve used it 50-60 or more times and I’ve gotten a single heads twice, 2-heads once and the rest have been tails 😂
Not that it matters, but it actually didn't matter what card you drew on that last turn. Both Koga and Geovani are insta wins. Pay 3 energy to withdraw muk, send in weezing, poison, use the Koga you just drew to send in the other Muk, energy to Muk and attack for game

Do the Aerodactil/Hypno dúo. Win without doing any damage. Just by forcing their active pokemon to the deck until they have none on the bench.
