I appreciate the advice about how when the promotion starts falling off then release a new song and start promoting it until it starts falling off.

I agree man! I used to upload weekly for about a year and didn't really get anything out of it. My mind was more consumed with getting the next song out there vs focusing on marketing the songs. Thanks for the video!

That’s exactly the trap many artists fall into. Glad this was helpful!

I used to focus on dropping multiple projects but streams didn’t really go anywhere. I’m dropping music weekly/biweekly now. I feel like it’s getting better results, plus I wanna build up my discography.
This helps me while I’m focusing on making a project I really want. I just send it out.

I've been doing freestyle Friday on my channel and my music schedule is 1-2 months.. My single is 1 month and 2 weeks old, I like it so much I wanna keep promoting it. But my friends said I should drop something new🤦🏽‍♀️

Your friends will always feel that way, bc they’ve been listening from day 1. But when it comes to promoting your music, the question is “how can I reach someone who hasn’t heard of me yet?”
You’ll always have to work to find a healthy balance between rewarding current fans and reaching new ones.

Hey KDMR, I am actually doing a 1 song per week challenge for 1 year right now (4th episode tomorrow). Like Russ I produce/mix/master my own songs and I get the part about time you need to reinvest in promotion. Because I struggle to have engagement that will then animate algorithms and push my songs.
However I think that if I manage to do as many concerts as possible during this year, just the fact to bring up this challenge might push the ppl to support more than any other artist cause they might know how hard it is to be dedicated this much. Anyway it's a long topic, thanks for your advice and if you have a minute I would be glad to see your opinion :)
