Thanks for the honest review, Eddie. 💯 I purchased the babyliss boost due to many barbers saying that they were better then the original fx and honestly, they’re just average. I also swapped the blade to the faper blade and it made it easier to take that initial line out. I won’t be purchasing the snap fx because I hear others saying that the batteries are not good. Aside from the batteries, they are too expensive. I’ll stick to my Rebel, Senior and Ergo. But hey, to each their own. Peace ✌🏾
@@RUclipsBarberAcademy did you know that when you read the manual it will tell you to charge the battery for 3 hours before you use it for the first time & this goes for all cordless clippers, trimmers & foil shavers, they all vary with charge time before use for the 1st time, & the battery doesn’t reach its full potential after 3 charge cycles
Only thing I like about Babyliss is their original fx trimmer & shaver! Their clippers are average with a premium price tag! Their fade blade is to thick to be considered a fade blade!
So it it possible to add a “faper” blade on a regular black and gold babyliss fx clipper? Wish you see this comment and can answer, thanks in advance 🙏
@@RUclipsBarberAcademy thanks for the response I do self cuts and want to mod my babyliss clipper w/ a faper blade and ceramic. You think this is the move???
same thing happen to me but after killing the battery all the way and charging overnight i was able to reset the battery and it got a little better still not great
Thats the same thing that happened with my lo pro fx. I’ve gotten it to where it will take a charge sometimes but not consistently. Reached out to babyliss and they told me they couldn’t do anything for me because I didn’t buy it from a “authorized dealer”. Ive been cutting hair for 6 years and I loved all my Babyliss clippers but now im perplexed by how they refused to take care of me. Makes me feel obligated to stop purchasing their products because they know they have battery problems and they are leaving customers (fellow barbers who chose spent their hard earned money with Babyliss) with no recourse or solution. One thing is for sure, they don’t have any problem taking our money but they aren’t so eager when it comes to standing behind their products.
I think it's aesthetically a wonderful unit but I have the feeling that this is more geared towards the high end consumer who wants to have a good looking device with cool features.
THANK TOU SOOOOOOO MUCH BRO! I feel like the most sincere reviews come from YOU & TANK B CHOPPIN..!!! As one of the very 1st RUclips Barbers who taught me how to cut & fade, I’ll always be appreciative of your efforts. Much love & Peace in Jesus’ name.!!!
This is not a good travel companion for non professionals. It would have been nice to put usb port on the batteries so that I wont' have to hall that gigantic charging base when traveling or vacationing. I guess it was my fault for buying something made for pros.
is this only half of the video? Eddie said RUclips only let him upload half the video, but it looks like a whole video to me. Great video Eddie by the way, love your content. Super relevent and interesting and entertaining. Keep it up
I too have had nothing but trouble with that dlc 2.0 blade is always been trash. But oddly enough on the snap fx it’s hitting hard (so far that is) and I just purchased the clipper as well after enjoying the boost. I too had to change the blade to a faper blade the fade blade babyliss sells is just really not it. But I got a great deal and got the clipper for 300 so if it doesn’t work out I could always sell and recoup that money lol
For 700+ dollars along with the cons this is a flop and not cop worthy for anyone. For that money you can get 2 stylecraft rebels 1 babyliss fx3 or a babyliss skeleton trimmer and have money left over. And the rebels would last up to 3x longer so imagine 2 💀
The FX3 also a flop imo, that's why they dropped the lo pro so fast. No hate if u like em however I called babyliss for a replacement and it was just as bad so 🤷
@@obsidianbarber223 yeah I have the fx3s and I like them. Battery lasts a good amount of time, has a battery indicator which most trimmers don’t and leaves laser sharp lines. Only complaint I see most people have with them is the blade might be too sharp which is an easy replacement. 🙂
Loved the review ! It was honest and to the point. I happen to like Babyliss. Your review regarding interchangeable batteries is spot-on,, as well as the ergonomics makes it a disaster. I have two clippers and four trimmers. The trimmers hit, BUT THE. CLIPPERS are a little disappointing. They cut well, but the battery life is disappointing . Such a premium clipper, with two hour battery life.
Yo the batteries are bullshit both of my batteries on my clippers are only giving me about 10 to 15 minute run time my trimmer is great but The batteries on my clipper I’m not even getting a quarter of a haircut done
@@RUclipsBarberAcademy yeah I did it right when I got em and now I called them and they can’t replace them till they come out so now I’m shit outta luck on my station thank god I have one rebel still

Honestly these are garbage, nothing new .... Dog clippers work like that, you change batteries while one is charging.
YO THEY PLAYING WITH PEOPLE MONEY MAKE THE BEST STOP PLAYING
Crazy how they dropping the FXONE a year later. I’m def copping em🤷🏻♂️ snaps blew it by not making the battery interchangeable
$700 for a clipper sheesh I’m struggling trying to justify $170+ lol that’s almost the cost of my mortgage. But great video as always eddie
Thanks for the review Eddie 💯🎯
Seems like a flop to me. Thanks for confirming they are still on some bullshit 😒 smh wtf babyliss?!
Won't be copping
It’s hard to justify the price on these especially the trimmer coming with that dlc 2.0 blade.
Clippers are $150 at Costco…$199 on their own site but they’re too big for myself, pause. I’m just trying to shave my head every week or so

Any clipper that fits wahl guards can use any blade expect the andis and oster unless you get a mod

So for 200 they’re worth it ?
If I was a barber, I would think about buying it.
Excellent video. Honest and in depth as always 👏🏽 👍🏽

Need a little help, they have the snap fx trimmers for $79 brand new, is it worth it or the fx one with the interchangeable batteries
I just scooped both but not for the price one of my local shops had a deal buy the clipper and the trimmer is free so 350 for both was a must for me
yeah thats like half of what i paid
@@RUclipsBarberAcademy that was in canadian dollars every now and then a killer deal pops up

thank you for your effeort,
Would you please tell me what is a good trimmer for beard / mustache trimmer.

Too expensive in my opinion. Other options I'd rather have anyeays for cheaper.

@@k-stackz3577 oh sorry you meant the trimmer? Yea I love the trimmer bro. I meant the clipper, it's trash 🗑
The fx3 is legit the worst clipper ever made lmao that felt like a fisher price toy and couldn’t fade for shit with those wack ass guards
@@zachmendonca808 I’m talking about the trimmer
Do you know where i can find the snap on and snap off, self aligning magnet hair pocket cover?
I heard they are discontinuing this unit, so I doubt you’ll find one
