I’ve done the Borei, Vanguard, Ohio, Oscar II and just need to finish the Typhoon. It’s my first time building models and obviously my first time weathering. I don’t think I’ve done a bad job, nothing like yours though lol. I’ll try upload a video of them.
Keep practicing and trying new techniques, Im sure you are already doing a good job on them 😉 I'm not doing anything else than playing around with some different techniques. Sometimes it works well, sometimes it doesn't 😅
I rarely give a thumbs up, but your anti-propaganda notice and posting of both the Russian and Ukrainian flag is a noble gesture worth calling out. As an American who served in the US Sub force during the Cold War, I always appreciated the boats of the former USSR; especially this one! It was sad to hear the Dmitry Donskoy was finally decom'd this past February. Mostly though... fantastic work!! I can't wait to see the next installment.
Incredibly good. You are working so long on this project, but it really pays off. For me this is the best and most realistic looking submarine model, I have ever seen!

The text indicating that you do not intend to make propaganda and that you want peace is not necessary. Only a fool can confuse the realization of a scale model with the defense of war. Great job with the sub!!!!

I came across your build by accident and just love it. The amount of paint detail is amazing. It´s a shame that the political situation has such an influence on our hobby. I have the same kit at home and looking forward to build it. Where did you get your reference from? Painting the model according to the instruction is not an option.
I observed different pics of Typhoon subs, in particular those of the TK-20 Severstal in drydock. The painting guide is definitly not a option ! 😂 Many thanks for your interest ! 🙂

Military ship models are extremely forgiving when it comes to paint. Realistically the more coats of paint they have the closer to the ship's actual treatment in real life. Experiment. If you don't like it just paint it again, it'll be all right.
