      In 5,6,7 example oxygen needs 2 electrons so it will make single bond but sir is showing double bond while explaining

      @@Adam-bz9se why is it so that O2 will make single bond? Oxygen will make double bonds. one due to hybrid orbital sigma bond and other with unhybrid pi orbital bond.

      @@manasdas9461 firstly if u know i3 means 2 I are connected with that so accdg. to trick attached atoms are 2 so 2+lone pair and i has 7 valence electrons so due to negative charge one added to that =8 now 8-2=6 electrons means 3 lp now 2+3=5 so sp3d is hybridisation hope it will help u!!

      Yahi to dikkat hai...ye formula sbko pata hota h but ye trick usse bahut jyada easy hai...bhai sahab sigma bond pata krne se to ye easy hi hai na

      With every C atom 3 atoms are attached and it also uses all 4 electrons to make bond so 3+0= 3 ie sp2

      Let's cake one C atom. To
      It 2 hydrogen and 1 carbon is attached
      Carbon has 4 valence electrons
      2 are taken by 2 hydrogen and rest 2 are taken by 2nd carbon
      So no lone pair hence
      Hybridization is 3+0 =3
      ==>sp²

      C2h4 its a chain structure(two parts)take each side of chain and find hybridization separately its comes out sp2-sp2 or 2sp2 or in general sp2!
