All wizerds and witches of old made their own wands. It was just something you did then, kind of like how regular people of old made their own clothes or how they would build their own home on a piece of land. Later in years people can go to a store and find the best fit of clothing for them; people with magic gifts can go to a store to seek out quality wands that fit the type of wizerd or witch's abilities and charater as a person.
Since this video says that she was greatly involved in the creation of Hogwarts , and since the castle was made made partially with ancient magic according to hogwarts Lehgecy, Could Rowena Ravenclaw had some knowledge in said magic ?
