My main focus on watching reselling videos like yours is to learn new items that sell on eBay and to find motivation to list more items since I been blessed buying storage units that have given me great inventory but my depression keeps holding me back from listing consistently for that constant cash flow , fighting to break that cycle and thanks to your videos I've been slowly building a routine, started by sorting and cleaning but listing is next 💪
Best of luck with your running. I have run a marathon myself and a fair few half’s. It’s bloody hard work. Enjoyed this episode. Big hugs your you tube mum!! 😅
April is the start of our eBay shop opening here in the UK. We've been resourcing for the last 5 months plus a lot of research & RUclips videos. Great video again.
G'day really enjoying the content. Just wondering do you a spare console at a test bench to test all the games cds and cartridges or is that too time consuming and just checking the condition is enough.
Loving your videos. Total newbie here and looking at starting. Have you done a video explaining just postage? More about why you do free postage, also when you’re looking at sold prices do you factor this in to your prices? Cheers
Aus post have increased their prices envelopes starting today, medium tracked envelope has gone from $5.50 to $6.65. I’m finding it frustrating that postage costs are constantly changing.
That's absolutely insane. I thought they will only increase the price every year. Now just April and they increase again. Maybe you should consider Sendle. The postage fees they offer are lower than post office, all postages have tracking number and the delivered time is 2-3 days depending on state, pretty fast. Can get discount postage through ebay or by your own account with sendle.
Great video and helpful for what to look out for. When you list your item do you list it with the cost of international shipping besides local? How does that work with EBay’s authenticity guarantee when it goes to Sydney? Do they then pay the postage for international? I hope that’s not too many questions.
I’m yet to have an international sale go through authenticity so I’m not too sure but I would imagine it would redirect like the domestic sales. Domestic has its postage rate and I apply a international postage rate to the listing as well.
He might write have all his normal gross sales (outside GST) recorded as income, then Matt's expenses will be postages, ebay fees and payment to his consignee, the difference between sales and expense is the profit. His products consignment should be $0 cost if not mistaken. Hopefully he also include the amoutn of tax he need to pay when he work out his share with his consignnee
Hey Matt , love the videos keep up the great work . If you list an item as free tracked poatage But it sells international , where they pay postage . Do you get in trouble from buyers / ebay ?
Do enjoy ur videos ... Longtime Loyal viewer from Ohio and a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan (great lid) ... Do ur thing in the race challenge and continued thrifting success - I'll b watching.
Ebay would not be reccomended to anyone starting out in Selling from my 10 year experience, i was averaging 1K per week. The Store Fees were ok but then they added in the free returns and other things was just nuts, people returning things simply because they recieved it and its not what they wanted etc
Been watching you ever since the video with josh. You guys are both amazing and really have pushed me to be a better reseller 😊 keep up the Amazing vids Cheers, Mark
Hey man I’m a new seller from Ocean Grove… and I’m still not sure of the best/cheapest way to send items that have sold on my eBay store… if I get one of them envelopes ✉️ you are talking about for $8-$9 dollars 💵 do I also print out a Label from eBay for $8-$9 dollars And stick it on and then post the item?? Because that’s already $16-$19 I have to pay to send the item… do I just add these expenses to the coast of my item I’m listing then a few dollars more for a bit of profit??
Are the N. R. L. Daily telegraph collector cards worth anything and their folders? Eg from 2011. 🐝New bee from N. S. W. here. Very recent subscriber here love your channel. ✨🌻✨
I had a few of these sell a while back! Super dependant as to whether or not they are complete for top dollar! Thanks so much for subscribing! Amazing to have you a part of the channel :)
@@TheAussieFlipper true, true.. but just not the wide variety. Even some of the tv sets have gone way down in value. I'm impressed with the price of some cassette tapes that have started going up again. So random.
@@TheAussieFlipper 100%! I sell a lot of old magazines and you'd be shocked at what I've gotten for some of them. Many people would just assume they're garbage.
Hi Matt, if your doing 10 items a day I’d seriously consider purchasing bulk boxes in different sizes. Creates easy system for Courtney and yourself and looks more professional. Keep up the great work!
With international, I just put calculated and adujust the weight to the next weight class, so if it does end up weighing more than I think, I don't lose. And if it's significantly lighter, I pocket 10 bucks.
Why do you say 6 x DVDs don't go inside a small bubble mailer??? The problem with some vloggers is the misinformation and bad advice. You don't need to send movies tracked under $20, $3 of stamps will suffice. Scammers are usually concerned about higher value items. The $26 international post still cops the ebay fees so the GST saving when sending international is more than cancelled out on the ebay fees of $7+
Hey David I appreciate your consistent viewership and interest in the channel. Constructive criticism is never looked at negatively in my eyes but I’m literally just documenting my journey as an eBay seller, there’s so many ways you can make it work
I haven't seen you use the Australia Post bubble mailers as yet in your videos. The cost of them is gotten back on being able to use the better postage rate. If bundling and trying to get the cheapest postage to maximise profits asbyou allude to - we need to exhaust all available options that our competitors are using if we're to remain competitive
Looking forward to having Courtney back in the Monday post hot seat next week! Thanks for spending the morning with me 😊

You’ve absolutely got this!
I watch it because people like Mat helped me so much to start an Ebay Store.. Flying!!
Love the videos where you go through all of your sales for the weekend.
Thanks for watching mate
You've definitely got a good advantage with the weather, much easier to be motivated when the sun is out.
Super lucky!
Tracked envelopes went up today... $8.90 for the large size.... ouch!

time to go back to sending in envelopes with 2 stamps and have them untracked for $3

Iv been buying padded mailer’s for $1.40 and then printing labels off eBay for $8-$9
Is that not good too do??
I've managed to fit 6 dvds in a small satchel. You just have to shimmy it in lol. Even with the bubble wrap on.
Interestingggg
Even better if you use the Aust Post Small padded mailer@@TheAussieFlipper
I agree, I send 6 in a small all the time.

How do the returns work? Do you have to pay for their return shipping?
You can choose how you’d like to do it either they pay or you pay
Can I ask why you cop the postage yourself, rather than charge postage?
It’s nothing more than a marketing tactic. I’m not out of pocket. $20 + $10 vs $30 free postage is still $30 revenue.
It's so interesting to see what dvd's sell for in Australia. Very different prices than in the US :)
I’ve seen some big ticket dvd sales in the US they’re out there

what are the names of your ebay stores?
We have noticed that eBay is taking 10%
So how does that work for you guys.
I op shop all the time but put off from the 10% put me off.

You can easily fit six DVDs in a small padded mailer
What’s a damsel satchel?
@@TheAussieFlipper I think they mean a small satchel?
You can fit up to 8 DVDs in a small padded mailer - well worth getting as they are quite a bit bigger than the satchels.

Italian B.M.T with Avo is what my wife and share..

Going to bunnings regularly is waste of your time. You should have just bought the type of boxes that you use most.
No thanks. Postage expense is already high, and rising. Bunnings is just around the corner. A small price to pay
