      I'm honestly hoping it doesn't happen. Aspinall would likely ragdoll him. But if poatan wins he would then have an interim belt (that somehow doesn't even guarantee a fight with the current champion immediately upon his return) in a division other than the one he just got an undisputed title in. LHW has been a mess with injuries and we're one fight away (hill v poatan) from fully sorting that drama out. I'd rather not add to the mess with a psuedo-interim 2 division champion.

      How could it be for the interim? Because he's not the real belt holder. Jones won that title only 8 months ago. That's not remotely long enough to be stripped because of an injury.

    • @Major98
      @Major98 11 месяцев назад +9

      @REH86 A belt that Jon got for beating Ciryl Gane. Now Jon is out for 8 months at least. So he would be out for 16 months which means stripping him is justified. Also my point is that an interim belt being defended is pointless, either Toms the champ or he isn't,

    • @REH86

      If he wins then he beat someone who he has 40lbs on and who fought his career two divisions lower. It's all reward no risk for Pereira. Tom is already main event status, he ran through HW division with ease and his public following is rising, people are already talking about him being the future GOAT. I think given Aspinal is desperate for Stipe/Jones to fight him before they retire it would be good of him to give Pereira a shot to solidify his spot in the history books.

      I disagree, I think tom has the speed advantage (his hand speed is actually quite insane for a heavyweight, not to mention accuracy), Alex has the power advantage (Those long arms and the torque/snap he gets on his punches is just different to anyone else, he really does have that touch of death on his left hook). Tom is the naturally much heavier fighter and has a great ground game so I can see him out wrestle Alex, try go for a sub.

    • @NyaCroft
      @NyaCroft 11 месяцев назад +3

      I know you guys say Tom is fast but I don’t see it truthfully. Like I see that he’s fast for a heavyweight but faster than Alex with his hooks or calf kicks? Idk about that, I could see Tom winning by sub and just using strength and size to his advantage on the ground. But if it’s striking I think Alex has a bit of an edge, theoretically he should be faster being the smaller person who would have to go up to the weight class and I feel like he’s smart enough to know going full 260 isn’t the move. If Tom touches him once tho like I said before he’s probably dead because Tom has both power and speed much like Alex.

      @@SergioMendoza760 don’t see Toms speed? Everyone else does, moves like a middleweight and he eat SP’s punches like they were nothing, that’s a scary dude right there

    • @SergioMendoza760
      @SergioMendoza760 11 месяцев назад

      @@NyaCroft it’s not that I don’t notice that, but that’s compared to other heavyweights. We’ve never seen toms speed in comparison to someone smaller than him. Like I said Alex theoretically on paper should be faster with his strikes than Tom because he won’t be coming in as heavy as Tom. Tom is still very quick for his size don’t get me wrong I just don’t know that he’s legitimately quicker to the punches than Alex is. That’s what the fight would show us.

    Pereira isn’t beating Aspinall, Tom can beat him in any fashion. He’s been tested by Pavlovich’s power and withstood it, he then knocked him out which was the first time. Not to mention what it looks like when Aspinall is on top of Pereira, pure violence.

    There is a big fight on this card for many different countries that have large fans bases. Many American favorites, Brazil, Mexico, New Zealand, England, Russia 2 big French fights and many other European countries.
    Important for 300!!
    While most fights are super exciting many of them also move the division forward! And, all the main cards have interesting replacement fighters for their weight class already on the card for back up. Bc 300 has to have great backups ready!!

    Jones jumped from 205 to 265 after 3 years of inactivity and immediately won the title, there is a chance that Pereira is competitive at heavyweight. Remember Pereira walks around at the same weight as the heavyweight Jailton Almeida, even when he was cutting down to 185.

    I would love to see it but it's not happening. It's less likely than Aspinal vs Jones at any event which also isn't happening BUT way more likely. I don't see Dana in agreement with Periera or Aspinal. They both have heart but Dana is focusing on business longevity for both guys. THIS WOULD BE HUGE IF WE COULD GET IT 💣🏆🙏🍾... but not happening 😅
    Aspinal is not a track star, he ain't running from nothing (PLUS HE'S YOUNG, that will possibly change as he gets older).

    30+300 does in fact equal 3 in calculus.
    Suppose this. If i have a x/y graph, and on this graph there is a curve. And this curve represents the value of y as x changes. And the notation for this formula is f(x)=3.
    So no matter where x is, y is always at 3. So f(x)=3=f(30+300)=3
    Its a constant function. A straight line.

    I still think Jones vs Stipe should be for the BMF title, which raises the question of what is a BMF title in the first place. I think the BMF belt should be reserved for non-title superfights, especially when fighters have no plans on defending the title after the fight. This criteria allows Conor vs Nate Diaz to fight for the BMF belt!
    UFC should make Aspinall the official champ then it makes Pereira vs Aspinall fight more interesting.

    Conor vs Leon at 170 makes the most sense . Conor vs chandler at 185 isn’t going to happen and pluse it doesn’t matter 155 isn’t the place for Conor anymore 170 is a good place for him easy way too get the belt back Leon style doesn’t work with Conor . Conors movement foot work kicks take down defense and he hits a lot harder than Leon he would ko Leon I’d bet 2500$ on a ko it just makes the most sense also 155 conor isn’t beating Islam or Justin maybe he beats Charles or Dustin and a few others but 170 is a good spot if he beat Leon he could have at least 4 supper fights a rematch with Leon Nate 3 usman and Colby or even shavkat or how ever you spell it
