Alpine strawberries are a little different from garden strawberries because they have different growth habits which each require a different type of care when dividing.

Is neitella strawberry might be not a a alpine strawberry but a woodland strawberry or Virginia strawberry can you spell the variety neitella. Also pine berries aren’t alpine strawberries but hybrid Chilean strawberries.

What time of year do you recommend splitting Alpine Wonder?

Keep an eye on them and consider doing it when they are thriving. Just make sure you keep them well watered after you do so, and try to keep some roots attached. You can increase your success rate by letting them grow a bit in water after division.

I would say you could divide them whenever they appear to be thriving and when you can keep them suitably watered. They will struggle for a bit after dividing, so it's probably not good to do when they are struggling.

First time I tried uprooting my alpine strawberries XD I was worried I killed off a part of it when a single strand broke off, I am surprised to see that it is slowly growing in to a somewhat healthy looking plant so far

    Nice!
Would it work with Yellow Wonder to take a sharp knife and cut the main plant in two?
