“We’re all destined to have to do the thing that we fear the most.” This definitely summarises this period in McConaughey's career and THIS video in general.
Great essay, thank you for making and posting. His reinvention has been a very satisfying thing to witness. His name being attached to a project will now get my immediate attention. He has that quality that makes him special in Hollywood, range.
i don't think he needs a comeback. As an actor he has already achieved what he needed to. We, the audience on the other hand do need his comeback as a reason to go the cinemas to something special, different, spectacular and convincing as his previous performances.
He really became one of the most talented actors in the 2010s after his period in the early 2000s of romantic comedy movies. And it’s sad he wasted too much a decade in cheesy rom-com when also in the 90s he did some excellent performances and great movies
I disagree. That’s an ensemble film, I think Charlie Hunnan has more screen time in the film, but I think Colin Farrell’s character is the biggest scene stealer in that thing.
As a teen whose dream is becoming a big actor & writer in Hollywood, I'm addicted to your videos fr fr 💀😭 Easily one of my favorite channels ever, keep going 👏🏻❤ Btw I'm working on my first real movie script, wish luck y'all :)❤
A career I love to follow Before the renaissance he really did have two paths, rom coms and everything else. So he always had the real power. Also Killer Joe I stand by is his best performance
Sahara is still one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s so damn fun. Mostly because Steve Zahn is criminally underrated. But it’s as close to a legitimate Uncharted film, (yes I’m aware of the Tom Holland movie, that’s not Uncharted) besides the incredible short film Nathan Fillion was in (Why didn’t Sony make *that* Uncharted…) we’re ever going to get.

He didn't waste it, blame Hollywood producers/directors that didn't want to cast him in anything besides dumb rom coms
Supporting role in The Gentleman???? He was the main character bud.

Rusty will always be a top notch character. Living legend
A career I love to follow

Also Killer Joe I stand by is his best performance
Rust Cohle has entered the chat and started monologing about eternity and the fragile essence of existence
I always thought when will he make a video on him
Haha I originally planned to make one half a year ago but it got shelved because some other ideas came up. Glad I finally got the chance to make it
@FilmStack ohh well can you make one on Cillian Murphy that guy seems deep
I’ll add it to the list! I’m currently watching Peaky Blinders so maybe after I’m done that
icant believe you barely gave a sentence to his performance in the gentlemen, it was iconic, completely stole the show

When you say it was a nerve racking time of his career, he wasn't exactly living paycheck to paycheck... Good video though.
His role in Dazed and Confused wasn’t minor 😂 solid supporting character in an ensemble film
Mud is one of his hidden gems
Never knew this movie excisted before watching this video. Im planning on watching the movie this week. Seems like it got really positive reviews
underrated channel
Ik he was goated since reign of fire bro played a badass general
Love your channel
True Detective is so fucking good.
Great synopsis! BUT! 22:00 I don't think a raging fire movie is a good move. Bad timing.😮😮😮😢😢
Mr @Filmstack guy, when is the next year in film video?
We've paused the series for the time being but might return in the future!
Can you do Anthony Hopkins?
#AlrightAlrightAlright
i need to watch interstellar
It’s so good! One of my favourite Christopher Nolan films (maybe even my favourite)
@@FilmStack The prestige is a top, top contender to that spot
What If Sony had owned the rights to Transformers (TF) instead of ParaMount
Alright, alright, alright
I love a filmstack vid
Uvalde is about 5-6 hours from Dallas, but sure it’s right outside
Now all I see him in are ubereats commercials
His next big thing is the game Exodus.
Good actor, but.. damn does he smoke much in his films? :p
His entertaining in movies but watching him unscripted do interviews and his boring
