    Awesome vid! Just did my first brake and rotor job recently on my Honda Fit. The rear end uses disc brakes so I hope to tackle that sooner than later.

    I like your videos. The brakes all look straight forward. I have done many brakes in the 40some years since I started working on cars at 13 yoa. I figure since these videos are available, why not check them out before you do your own, in case of anything 'Weird' with the model you are working on. Thankfully there isn't but Thanks for the video!
    One suggestion. Try using rubber gloves while working on the car. It took me a while to get used to them but they really save your hands from drying out and your skin cracking! My hands started drying out from hand cleaners when I turned 50. It might save you from some painful cracks along your fingernails! In the winter time those cracks are Awful!
    Ya'll Take Care and Happy Hotrodding on your Challenger! -John

    Great video, thank you! I have to take her (2018 RT Plus Shaker 6 spd 4 piston Brembo) to the shop but I learned so much from watching you.

      👍 Thanks for actually watching enough of the video to find it instead of just asking like everyone else does. I tell them to go back and watch it again 😅

    Question: Any reason why one brake caliper would be easy to press in but the other extremely hard?

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  2 года назад +2

      Either the caliper is starting to fail, or the brake hose is. If you open the bleeder and then depress the piston (all the way) and it is hard at all to push in at any point, then it is the caliper. If it's easy with the bleeder open, then it is the hose. Regardless, it is one or the other. If you do this to check, you will need to properly bleed the brakes after (on that caliper).

    How were those bracket bolts coming out of the rear. The fronts were a PIA. I am taking a few days break to heal my muscles before tackling the rear.

      I don't recall, I would have mentioned it in the video. I don't think they were as bad...

      Brake Motive for some reason has stopped selling brakes. I have used Detroit Axles products in the past satisfactorily: www.detroitaxle.com/parts/2019-dodge-challenger/brake_rotors-drums/?drive_type_name=AWD
