Hey Dan would love some drivers point of view shots over the bonnet to see where your going that’s what I’m looking for when driving a Boxster to see where your going and what the twisty roads are like!
Having driven the RUF (R3400S) version in its natural environment, it made me a serious believer in this platform. Its not meant to be fast (even though its gearing limited to about 170mph and it will get there) , its meant to be fun and engaging.
My first "fast" car was a 2.7 986. I was 23 and it was like a dream, drove all over France and Germany. A very, very good car with amazing balance and yeah not "fast" but all the speed you need really for what it is. I would have another in a flash.
I just bought a 2003 S a couple of months ago and it needs the spoiler too too. The missing wing top is a design flaw on I think 2003-2005. It blows off at high speed.
The Boxster S will feel quick if you're just starting out on your sports car voyage (as will be natural if starting with something cheaper). With a few exhaust mods, it can definitely feel nimble enough. Plus top down sensation tends to heighten feeling of speed. Great junior sports cars. Be wary of IMS issues of course! My experience with a newer model, I would state it as linear speed & powerband. And you could also make an argument in its day and era (again and what was out then) it was a very quick car and my guess would beat your average 2003 honda.

What's next a Miata?
Eh if the price is right.
The boxster is a big waste of money, they are all time bombs I've experienced it on the side of a road without even abusing the car motor blew up with the stupid ims bullshit
OK
Runny eggs!
Yup
Isn't the boxer known as a sports car for women?
Eh so is the California but that doesn't mean anything
Please let Meg do a review
She can't drive manual
@@normalguysupercar That would make a great video of you teaching Meg how to drive a manual .
I feel like a C5 Corvette shits all over the boxter for this price point
It may
Both great cars. This is more nimble, C5 more power. C5 also pretty easy to mod. I have a C5Z. Would love to add a Porsche next.
@@pgammad83 Yea, I see the draw to each, just for the money I think I’d take the c5. The markets went crazy though, I sold my atomic orange c6 grand sport a few years back for what c5z’s are selling for now. I’d love to drive a Porsche, I have really started to like them over these past few years.
A women’s Porsche lets be honest
Eh it's still fun
