  • Hi,
this video is a small application of the amoeba wheel I've showcased a few weeks ago ( • Reinventing the Wheel ... ). Basically, this is a linkage that moves forward just by changing its shape. Thanks a lot to the Poly Bridge discord community and especially ‪@ArglinPB‬ for the help getting all these amoeba wheel variations to work :)
    Enjoy watching,

I've gotten a lot of comments that the music is a bit distracting, so I'm experimenting a bit with a new style of music (no music isn't really an option, the experience is pretty similar to a muted video). Looking forward to feedback :)

In hindsight, that makes perfect sense. I like this tame stuff you picked out

In contrast, I prefer the higher tempo electronic music in your older videos.

I like this music, and I also appreciate that you left the text on screen plenty long enough for me to read!

i can see the reason why people called the music distracting (personally, i'm not one of these people) but this works well too

Thank you for color coding the different portions of the construction. It makes it really straightforward to reproduce the mechanism at home. :D

I'm so glad that you built this. I love playing with unusual Lego locomotion. After your previous video, I started to do the maths to work out how many Technic beams and what sizes I'd need to build a double amoeba wheel vehicle. I think that I would have had to spend a lot on Bricklink to build what you've made!

What a nice construction! I especially like the faith used to hold the batteries on those half stud axle connections.

That's actually not that bad, 4 of them are more than enough to hold the battery

Pretty cool! Did you consider using infrared Technics remote control to bypass the switch access problem?
