It seems like Meta Developer is having an error in adding Instagram Tester to the Instagram Basic Display app. Many other users are also experiencing the same error as you. The above error has been fixed by Meta's developer team. You can now add Instagram Tester normally.

Hello, i am doing a presentation app where I want my latest instagram feed to appear at the bottom of a page. I was able to make the setup but for some reason I din’t get the latest feed, but some really old posts instead. Any ideea what could be the issue?

Your Instagram feed might be outdated due to caching or API limits. Try clearing app cache, forcing feed refresh, or check API documentation for refresh rates and limitations.

hi! thanks for the video, that helped out a lot. but i'm still struggling with the last step of the process. when i log into my client's instagram account, that pop up message saying "Sample INS app for guide would like to..." does not show up, and so i can't progress from that point on.
do you have any idea of what I could do to make it work? please, let me know! thank you!
It's possible your web browser is blocking pop-ups. Go to the "Settings" section of the web browser you are using and check that you have enabled the setting that allows popups to appear.

You can check for some other reasons:
- You have turned off the feature to request access to new apps on Instagram. To check if this feature is enabled, follow these steps: Open the Instagram app on your device > Tap on your profile icon in the top right corner > Settings > App access > Make sure the Request access to new apps option is enabled.
- You are using a proxy or VPN app. If you are using a proxy or VPN app, this may prevent you from receiving the popup asking for access to the newly created app. Try disabling your proxy or VPN app and see if the popup appears.
If you have tried all of the above steps and the popup still does not appear, there may be an error with the Facebook Developer app. In this case, you can try creating a new app or reporting the error to Facebook.

Hi, I have problem in setting up this. I am on the create an app page where I put my ap name and contact email.
When all filled and click create app - it gave me an error msg " Please enter a valid email address or mobile number." I have put my correct email but it was denied. Can u help? Thanks.

As the notification clearly indicates, you need to check the email address you entered. In fact, in the first steps of creating an application, you just need to enter an email address in the format exampleemail@example.com, then when you click create app, Facebook will ask you to log in to your Facebook Developer account again. In the following steps, you can completely edit the email address to receive notifications. Maybe the email you entered doesn't match Facebook's format?

Could i do this with a friends token? With permission of course!
Hello, you can add other Instagram users to the created application similar to your own account. Once a user agrees to grant access to your app, you can generate an access token for that user and use it to retrieve photo and video data that the user has posted on Instagram.

Instagram currently does not support retrieving photo/video data of private accounts. You can still get data from an account that isn't your follower, as long as that person agrees to share the data through the app you created.
can i get real time trends data though the graph api?
Unfortunately, accessing real-time trend data directly through the Instagram Graph API isn't currently possible. The API offers functionalities focused on user accounts, posts, and insights with a delay, not live updates.
