If you can locate Boarding Patrol Space Marines, a gravis captain, 5 heavy intercessors and 10 Assault Intercessors at a discount wouldn't hurt, especially if you want an Indomitor Kill Team.
Always collect Deathwatch as a single Chapter that just happens to have DW shoulder pads. On e you have that chapter army you can flesh out your Deathwatch with a second or more chapters for Kill Team or Boarding Actions. You never want to be stuck with just a Deathwatch army.
Never considered DW main a problem myself, but this works particularly well with Raven Guard and Black Templars if one wanted to stick to an existing colour scheme.
Hi Temor, thx for this video! I appreciate it a lot. Just a couple of ideas: Black Spear Task Force - Terminator Squad (Bolters + Fists) + Captain + ToS o CC o Deep Strike o Instead of Vets o Stratagems - Bolters - PKT + WM + ToE + Apothecary o CC + Shoot o KT o Teleportarium o Maneuverable - Indomitor KT + Apothecary Biologis o Shoot + CC o KT o Teleportarium o [LETHAL HITS] - Repulsor + Desolation (x10) + Techmarine o Fire power o Indirect fire o Party bus o Emergency Combat Embarkation - Lieutenant with Combi-weapon - Infiltrator Squad (x5) 2000 pts No veterans (Terms instead). Indomitor. Min vehicles. What do you think?
All good picks in my opinion, except for the Desolation Marines: I have shelfed them long ago, but afaik they are now limited to max 5 per squad and really overpriced. I think you will find something better instead (Eradicators? Whirlwind? DW Vets? Hellblasters? A Dread?).
I'm hesitant to buy a vindicator or whirlwind and I feel it's likely they won't be supported after this edition. Still get a couple of years out of them, but maybe not more. Currently building a couple of Gladiators, fully switchable between the three variants and the impulsor, which should be pretty flexible in editions to come.
Personally, I think the "big purge" happened already with the release of the 10th edition SM codex. Some "old" vehicles like a Rhino or a Land Raider are too iconic to disappear. Now, Whirlwind and Vindicator might not be quite up there, but unless there will be a Primaris-version at some point, I don't think they will go away without a counterpart/replacement. But of course we'll see, the Gladiator/Impulsor is the safest bet out of the bunch, I agree.
The current combat patrol isn't the best for deathwatch, maybe the Dark angels or blood angels combat patrol is the best box... For now, though we will see a rotation combat patrol, hope that the new deathwatch combat patrol come with primaris deathwatch veterans and new hq
I have forsaken the serenity of the long vigil and have been currupted by Chaos, 2K points in Thousand Sons and 1.7K points in Chaos Knight's in 10th edition, no Deathwatch added 😢
Absolutely, you could use tacticus armour Primaris bodies with DW Vet weapons to build your DW Vets. There is a good chance that this will ultimately happen anyway once DW gets a new supplement.

That's a good one, can turn the assault intercessors into DW Vet bodies too!
This is an excellent video! Thank you.
Great to hear, thank you!

Corvus BlackStar for the style!!! If only they give it an assault ramp, it would go from stylish to mandatory!
Best looking flyer (model) in the game, has my vote for the assault ramp for sure!

The blood angels combat patrol is also amazing. Can 3d print to turn that impulsor into a gladiator.
Nice one, I did not think of that. Ultimately, an Impulsor is just a Gladiator lacking a proper turret!
I'm glad you said this after I bought that set this week!

At this point, it's picking the least bad out of them. The DW one is not awful, if one does something more useful with the Intercessors (like Vets).

Stay strong watch brother! I would most likely make some Alpha Legion marines wearing Deathwatch armour 😂
You could use Primaries and 1st born weapons. What do you think about this.

Veteran Outriders
I would absolutely love that... together with an entire "veteran" version of the Fortis KT! (with good rules on top, one can dream)
