That, sir, made my shorthairs pop tall. Absolutely exceptionally beautiful. Twilight run at that. Thank You so much for that. My two all time favorites. And THAT SOUND!
@@DubLubb the Hellcat used the same engine as the Corsair, and yes it was one of the best fighters as well. But then, you could include in that list the Spitfire, powered by basically the same engine as the Mustang.
@@DubLubb At the end of the day, the Hellcat was quickly phased out of frontline units after WWII, whereas the Corsair served in frontline units through the end of the Korean war, a full ten years after WWII ended, with production not ending until the 1950's. So it could be argued, that the Corsair, was the best fighter of WWII full stop, as it was the one in production the longest, and in service the longest, at least in U.S. service. Both the Corsair and Mustang did serve as frontline aircraft with smaller countries all the way into the late 70's and early 80's.
Did anybody know that the mustang was part of the Dominican Republic Air Force and was the last country to retire by far the caddie of the sky ? So proud to know that most of the mustangs flying today were here in Santo Domingo 🇺🇸🇩🇴
They would look great in a formation! The corsair was only a few kph faster meaning they would almost fly parrelel even when at max speed! That would look gorgeous........
The mustang was used as a American fighter only close Cessna of that size I believe is German.I'll do the research this week end .Can't think I have a puzzle of the two.
Beautiful machines, beautiful sounds, beautiful evening sky, and ridiculously annoying airshow announcer... Someone for the love of God get rid of him.

Be still, my heart! My two all-time favorite warbirds. Pure aerial poetry! Thank you.
Great video! The sky behind them at the 3:00 mark was absolutely beautiful, thanks.
Beautiful!
Awesome, P-51 Mustang and F4U Corsair Formation Flybys, Like...
Awesome formation flying. AND with two dissimilar aircraft. Great pilots!
The two best fighters of WWII, powered by the two best aircraft engines of the time!
Don't leave out the Hellcat

Pretty cool stuff. They even have one with the wing mounted radar pod.
Wonder how many of these were used to film Black Sheep Squadron?
Now, that's how you demonstrate these iconic machines. Fly the snot out of them!

Speed differential depends on altitude....P51 faster above 25,000 ft
P51 C AMAZİNG ❤️
murat sonmez that's a D actually
I like the wild cat has a low take off speed and can carry much more weight.

I like warthunder!!!!
No disrespect to the Corsair, but it's radial engine sounds like someone shaking a bag of hammers compared to that big Packard Merlin howling.
The p51 sounds like a Cessna!
Pov 1944 and time travel to 2022
