I then went to the shared computer to setup printers through my shared network in devices and printers and selected the host computer. There within was the two printers. I'm unsure if they were there the entire time. Was getting the 0x0000011b error though after updating.
Another example of why windows updates are more trouble than they are worth. As I have said before, the 3/4 times my pc had to be reset to factory conditions was all down to failed/issues with windows updates, not viruses or malware etc. Someone needs to come up with software so that only stable and correct windows updates are ever installed.

this is a temporary solution to the problem. Now 10.2021 and we have new updates (for win8, win10) with new KB500.... numbers with same Shared Printer Problems.

Im working on a company using multiple windows PC, and currently having this issue, only the main admin accounts can connect to the printer on LAN, and on another standard or admin accounts, it has that error. but I cant find the kb5005565 update. any other alternate solution?

In my case this update when using power saving mode became so laggy. Usually i play games with power saving mode and can get 60fps. Then after this update meh 30. And i look to cpu freq they are not touching 1 ghz
Thank you for the update. For some reason I don't have the option of UNINSTALL in the update windows. Also command line wusa /uninstall /KB:5005565 and also DISM commands did not let me uninstall this update (I get a message it is a required update and can't be uninstalled). I ended up doing a fresh windows install and then I had the ability to remove and block the update.

try this one: add to registry Dword32 name RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled value 0 on tree : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print] , and you don't have to unistall update. checked on windows server 2016.
Why the stupid Microsoft is delivering many updates week by week. Don't they have any other better business to employ their manpower ? One a OS is working, it should work permanantly without any updates. That's stability.

I don't know why, this update isn't showing in Microsoft Hide/Show program after I uninstall it. I can't hide this update.

I spent too much time troubleshooting the issue, I uninstalled the shared printer and installed a new network printer.
Yeah, it has caused a lot of problems.
This patch breaks internet explorer and onedrive causing them to freeze and not respond when opening. Uninstalling the patch resolved it.
