I'm 62 and what you're saying is exactly right. It is so easy to spend your life either looking forward or back and it is a waste of time. It keeps you from enjoying what is happening right now. The whole idea of working your whole life for the retirement at the end is wrong. Live your life for the experience of it. I tell people all the time, and I'm sure I'm not the first to say it, you can almost always make more money but you can never ever make more time. You get what you get, so don't waste it. Of course, most people have to make a living, feed their family and all but don't make that your focus. If you do, you spend all your time looking for your next raise. Again, living in the future. And then, when you finally realize your mistake, you spend your time looking backwards. Give yourself the "gift" of living in the present.
The miserable reality of the present is the good old days of the future. The good old days of the past are the distant memory of future. Soldier on boys.
As a born again believer the joy of my days have only grown with the truth of existence, Jesus is the Christ. Satisfaction for mere existence can only be justified through Him because otherwise all of the works of our hands and entire lives are a vain thing and our reasoning contrived, happy Sabbath if it’s sundown where you are and beware Islam.
Please promise you will report back in a future video if anyone wearing a full-body cast ever happens to leave a comment on this page thanking you for distracting them from all the itchy places they cannot reach to scratch.
