I love this guy. I am reading Humankind and it is very well researched and lets us know that us humans are intrinsically wired to get along with each other. Thank You - keep up the good work!

I agree, it's good to see someone who seems to truly be fighting for a better world

Intellectuals have always had the potential to create optimal harmony wherever they were. The only problem is they're not allowed to.
Unless active violence is introduced to diminish the backwards thinkers of the world(who could be anyone), no major change will come.
If Intellectuals can't embrace violence, in order to create order in the realm of the peasants, someone else will do it. And that someone sometimes will be pro- intellectualism..... But more often than not, they would be anti intellectualism, or intellectualism controlling at best.
This is the world we exist in at the moment. And unless Intellectuals embrace the sense of superiority they have over the others, and act upon that, things will remain the same forever.

If 1/3 of the world is doing really well, 1/3 doing ok and 1/3 doing badly how can we conclude the world is getting better? Absolute numbers of people in poverty rises as world population increases. When we lived in small insular societies at least we knew our neighbours, shared in the commons and were in harmony with nature. Now we are simply turning into robots - feeling and thinking nothing, collectively erasing or re-writing out actual history.
We need a radical redistribution of wealth and the powerful will never give up their power lightly.
