    The Reason Jake didn't get any blisters from his ruck march was because he grew up running around without shoes as a kid. He had calluses on his feet that would make Fred Flintstone envious.

      I'm a military veteran I was born in '77 and I was a '80s kid and you're exactly correct I have so much calluses on my feet I can run on Rock Streets and not even hurt them and that's what he did he had all the calluses from barefoot just like I was as a kid in the '80s

      People don't get that you're actually stewing your feet and making them softer when you wear shoes all the time .
      I had to slow down ... but I used to walk barefooted across parking lots outside of bars that were made out of broken oyster shells .
      If I stepped in batch of sandspurs, I felt it, and it would hurt enough to take them out ...
      Other than the potential parasite problem ... walking around barefooted indoors or out is a healthier option . You can always switch to boots when you need them 👍

    • @heidi7649
      @heidi7649 2 дня назад +1

      I used to run around barefoot on oiled roads. I'm pretty sure I killed the nerves on the bottoms of my feet after doing it for so many years. I'm 58 years old I still hate shoes but if I am going to wear them they better look good and they will be boots.😂😂

He was the most normal, laid back seeming guy you would ever meet, but when placed in a tough spot he excelled. You see everyday super heros in any culture, but in the American military it is common.
