You can still have fun on the gane without tryharding/speedrunning. A game should be played how u enjoy it most. Don't let someone you don't know dictate ur enjoyment. Or do whatever I guess 🤷.
I hopped on and checked the leaderboard and saw you broke it again and I had to see how it was done, btw how do you consistently cross that gap with the 2 water spouts at the beginning? I find it very annoying to do consistently
I'll mention anyway since someone else might be wondering but what I do is i hold boost and let go for the left stick entirely. Then I double jump into chaos spear + air boost. Letting go of the left stick makes shadow go further then if u were holding forward because the game doesn't apply air drag the same way when the stick isn't held forward
1:03. You could have saved some time there with another CC and hit the robot. Then take the lower route hitting guys here and there to get the meter fileld up before kicking the black arm guy to the top route, CC and run in frozen time.
Not sure if this is worth it since the last chaos control i get in the sewer section comes from that doom enemy in the beginning but it'd be cool to see someone beat my time doing it
@@thelordbantsalot I would try but it is hard to do. Not just hitting the bots at the start as sometimes it feels like I don't hit them, or worse, the boost randomly stops. But then the 5 bots before the big jump are something I don't always hit. And then the jump from the lower path to the ring monitor to avoid needing to rely on the DER debris.
The rails at the top of the pipe are really annoying to line up and sometimes the game will throw you off the second rail for no reason. I havent don't the full testing but I dont think taking the top rail is faster at all. Especially if your sidestepping since boost+sidestep is faster then just boosting. And the final set of rails takes the same time no matter what I'm pretty sure it's just a placebo since they look like they should take longer.
It comes from the first enemy in the sewer section. I stall his death so I can get the chaos control right at the end. Timing is very tight to pull off though
You could try what I do here instead if ur having trouble with it. ruclips.net/video/rwMA3ny4hSI/видео.html Essentially you kick the enemy into a pillar on the left to kill it even faster and get the first chaos control early. It's more consistent and saves time over not doing it but is slower then what I do now. Should help you beat your friends time!
Tbf the runs that require multiple stages and challenges to be played requires the real time taken to be considered when submitting a run to speedrun.com. So personally I think its good chaos control counts since it gives some diversity to how each stage is played in the different categorys. Sunset Heights is a completely different stage as a result of that which is pretty cool imo. A new depth to speedrunning that a sonicngame hasn't had before. Though I understand why people don't like it. Just wish both real time and in game time where shown at the end of the stage. I think it would be a good compromise.
Every game made by a developer has different criteria for measuring skill. I think designing a chaos control maximization route and executing on it are valuable skills worth measuring and I'm glad that Shadow Generations currently factors those in on its leaderboards. There will always be RTA categories but IGT is fun to optimize
Only one milisecond left got DAMN!!!!
God I love Sunset Heights Act 1…
44.99 is FIRE.
One millisecond is wild

@thelordbantsalot I actually didn't know that I've just been doing jump spear, dj spear, air boost spear but I'll try that next time I get on
I think i could beat that, I think I can

Why do you avoid the rails at the pipe section? And why do you take the longer route on the final set of rails? You clearly know something I don't!

Choas control time should be counted
