This composition is based on Zelda "Lost Woods" Theme.
When I made this composition I imagined a place that is more deep than the lost woods, with the sensation of being in autumn, and I made my best to represent the nostalgia of the lost woods but in a way that goes according to the map the devs showed me.

10/10. Music makes zelda, and this is as good as any zelda music, so IMO, this is canon.

Never realized how beautiful this place is. The autumn colored leafs gives a sense of ever since the Great Deku Tree died from Ganondorfs curse. The lost woods is slowly changing…
I think this song does a great job connecting you with Link as a Zelda fan.
Is somewhat familiar, and yet you get deeper into the unknown towards something completely strange. You get an uneasy yet nostaslgic sensation as you hear the echo of the distant land that nobody dared to know. Link doesn't have a fairy anymore, you are likely to get forever lost and witness Link dissapear forever, and who knows what he'll find during these travels, to the point where he ended up basically in a new dimension.
Honestly one of my favorite songs of any Zelda franchise, it really competes with some great Nintendo composers while being his own thing, Great job.
It reminds me of the Forest Maze theme and setup from Mario RPG

This song is like the pure melancholy of fall condensed into an n64 sound font. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I can practically smell the petrichor and see the gray skies.
Sounds like the sort of music that would play when your so deep into the lost woods, eventually the lost woods theme stops playing and you hear this instead.

Dude I didn't even know you were the composer for a good 5 min before reading comments. This track is absolutely beautiful and I listen to it every night to help me sleep as it's so calming and just hypnotizing. Especially with a dash of lost woods to give me that nostalgia high....perfect. This takes me back to when I was a kid listening to OOT OST for the first time and just feeling the music. And I mean FEELING the music. I cannot express enough how amazing this is for me personally to listen to. Also thanks for the extended cuz I was getting kinda tired of resetting my phone every 2 or 3 min when the song ended. Now I can just lay and enjoy.

I love how this theme gives off both familiarity and the unknown at the same time.
Nostalgia, mysterious, mystical, cold, and maybe even trepidation are the things that come to my mind while hearing this. It has a very unique and recognizable melody. And suddenly, Saria’s song shows up in the middle of this composition, giving you a little warm sensation and hope, lightening that depressing atmosphere the overall music gives you. This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite Zelda music tracks despite not being official. Magnificent job.

This song truly gives that “Feeling” and over last summer this song was the only thing giving 2021 a pure happiness
I think what I love about this is that it's basically Link who has returned to his childhood after his big adventure. Now he's a bit more experienced and now being told that something is happening in Kokiri Forest, so he sets off for the lost woods, which this track has the melody we know but since he's going to a new part of the woods it gives off a more mysterious vibe. As if you're both in a familiar and yet different location.
As a fan of Zelda and its soundtracks, I must say that what you did with this game is just incredible. It's like I am travelling down Hyrule and Termina at the same time. Happiness and despair co-exist in this really beautiful piece of art. Congratulations.

This song is so melancholic in the fact it makes you FEEL.
The memories of the hot Summer gives way to the season of Fall. Days are getting shorter, and you will soon begin to experience the cooling chill of the Harvest season. Nature has begun the wrap up of its annual cycle, and leaves are beginning to fall off the trees as they slowly begin to go dormant for the remainder of days until next year.
This tune makes you reminisce of younger, better days, as the rather somber harmony of the Deep Woods tells the reality of the seasons.

This track is one of the most atmospheric pieces to ever come out of the OoT or MM soundfonts. My 5 year old has been watching me play through both of those games over the last few months, and he loves the music.
I randomly played this track for him the other day without specifically saying it was from Zelda and asked him what he thought. He told me he thinks Link is lost and we need to help him 😭
I can listen to this for hours.

Honestly this song really fits well with the theme and vibe of the deep woods. It really makes me remember how when I was little I would always wonder what was deeper into the lost woods. It just really fits well with the mysterious and unknown feeling you get.
Sacred Grove, Lost woods and Deep Woods all hold a special place in my heart!
I also enjoy Lost Woods (ALTTP/ALBW), Forest Haven (WW), Faron Woods (TP), Minish Woods (MC), Faron Woods (SS), Korok Forest (BOTW/TOTK), and even the Lost Woods/Tarm Ruins theme from Oracle of Seasons is atmospheric. The forest areas in Zelda games are my favorite for some reason.

i havent played this yet but i have it in mind that the story for this is about how link got lost in the woods without navi to guide him home and he dies in the woods, and thus explaining the start of majoras, the missing link. its like a sad interlude to links inevitable passing

I would like to say that the entire soundtrack of the game is absolutely AMAZING. I just watched someone play this today, and was blown away by how familiar and foreign the music was. It definitely has that Zelda feel to it, and the mystery of the game is definitely helped out by the music.

Twilight Princess vibe for sure, but I think I hear Calm and Hope more than the I hear the Faron Woods theme.
There's something so fucking compelling about the lost woods in this iteration of Zelda as this, like, seemingly infinite forest on the edge of the known world that in some way connects Link to Termina that just fills me with this feeling of, like... I want to say awe but it's tinged with fear. I just imagine it, right, going deep into the lost woods. So deep you can't see the sun anymore.
So deep it stops making euclidean sense.
So deep you start to wonder if it ever ends.
So deep that you realize it doesn't.
Like it's no wonder the kid died and became a stalfos. This kind of thing is more than him, even if he's a hero.

This soundtrack's ability to make me feel an emotion, compared to almost all other music is outstanding. To this day all these years later I am still dumbfounded by it, I don't get it.

The atmosphere is immaculate, you completely nailed it. Genuinely rivals many of the official tracks from OOT and MM. Original with just enough nostalgia sprinkled in.

I found this particular video just because I wanted an extended version of this song and then saw you were the composer. I have to say how incredibly amazing this song is. I'm a huge zelda junkie, I constantly listen to zelda lofi and symphonies in my everyday life so much my young children hum zelda music and this is by far my favorite rendition of this song, and one of my top favorite zelda songs period. It's so nice to hear it in such a different tone, mysterious and dark but still that happy little nostalgic melody. It has so much depth to it. I hope you realize the masterpiece you've created! I just wish more people knew about it, it deserves so much more fame than it has and I know other zelda fans would love to hear this. This song was the most memorable part of the game for me, I've shown so many people it since i played it the other day. I literally put it on just down to do my skincare routine, I can't seem to turn it off.

That intro almost reminds me of "Fade To Black" by Metallica. I know this game isn't official, but this song and the theme for "Deku Road" are really dark and emotional, probably moreso than Nintendo's official Zelda themes.

This really nails down the vibe of a courageous hero finally returning home to the beautiful and nostalgic Magical Hyrule after becoming a miserable and cynical adult.
I just had a dream were i was basically exploring the depths of my mind and it looked pretty much like a version of Lost Woods that gets creepier the more you get to the deep so i guess now this is officially part of my minds songs

Me parece genial que recuerdes la melodía 😊 es una de las piezas que más ha tenido éxito en mi vida y la verdad no pensaba porque es como un remix de lost woods. So good that I still come here to listen to it since I first heard it. If I may ask, what instruments did you use when making this? I recognize some but can't pinpoint others.
That aside, The Missing Link set the gold standard for Zelda ROM hacks. Every aspect of it oozes of actual Nintendo level quality. If you told me this was a game they made as an in-between of OoT and MM as one last send-off to the N64 but never released for fear of it being poorly received from its short length, I'd have believed you.
The music isn't an exception to this. It sounds like it could be in a real Zelda game. The entire hack feels like it could have been a real Zelda game, and I think that says a lot about the passion the ROM-hacking community has for the games they mod and how they understand what makes the source material good in the first place.
Let me remember: ocarina, oboe, guitar from MM, strings, piano, warm pad, marimba, glockenspiel, bassoon, piccolo, choir from Forest temple and harp. I'm so glad you liked it :')

Tears of the Kingdom is here and...Im not playing at the moment. I don't want to build vehicles. Weapons STILL break even with fusion. There is still a lack of music.The world is vast and empty at the same time.Dungeons are few and far in between and not what they once were.I see what makes it great but it's not what I want in a Legend of Zelda.A Maser Sword that can only be used for a small amount of time until it rechrges? How is this OK?
I feel you, Breath of the wild was a good game, but it didn't feel like a Zelda game. I didn't even get ToTK, even though i've played every Zelda game in existance, it just doesnt feel right for me. I hope they will not stay with this new format.
Because those battles are so intense that Fi is still in that sword and it's basically her way of saying, " *breathing heavily* I need a 10 minute break." 😝
In all seriousness though, I thought TOTK was great...in fact I enjoyed it more than I did BOTW. I found myself on the game for many hours at a time, sometimes almost a whole day because it was so addicting. There's just so much to do and explore, especially with the addition of the sky islands and depths. The shrines were also more fun this time around and the temples felt like a hybrid of the Divine Beasts and classic dungeons. There's still weapon durability but with fusion it gives you the opportunity to have fun with various weaponry fusions for different levels of damage.
Yeah Hyrule Field can still lack in music at times but the rest of the game has an amazing soundtrack, especially the Demon Dragon Fight theme.
Last week i've finished TOTK and indeed, it's much better than BOTW. But to be totally honest, I've played it with an emulator and had a cheat were items didn't break. That was the only way to make it somewhat fun to play. They did a much better job in designing the dungeons and boss battle's than in BOTW. Maybe i'll play TOTK again in a year without using the cheat. But still, TOTK doesn't have a place in my top 5 zelda games of all time. It's good, but not epic like other titles. Just my opinion though. I'm currently playing every zelda game and i'm having a blast. Finished Twilight Princess, TOTK, Ocarina of Time and now i'm playing Majora's mask. Wind Waker is next on the list.
