Don’t be like me. Be safe and make sure your stove is off before you leave the house. This is not an instructional video, it is for entertainment purposes only.
I liked the "I'm a disaster!" Comment. Same here... Also, the baking soda and vinegar thing didn't work as "magically" as all the other videos said either. Glad I'm not alone. Also, I found these awesome hard- plastic scrapers on Amazon. They are the same idea as razor blades on a handle, but plastic, so no scratches.
I wouldn’t recommend using the corner edge of the scraper - that sharp point can scratch glass. I used a dishcloth & dish soap & removed about 80% of the melted plastic, then used a drop of Dawn dish soap & my finger nail to get the rest. In my case, the plastic melted on the stove top after it had been cooling for about 2-3 minutes. If I had needed to use a razor scraper, I would’ve kept a thin layer of Dawn on the glass cooktop while gently scraping.
Scratches are usually caused when scraping back and forth. Scrapes happen because grit gets stuck between blade and surface. Solved by only scraping in one direction. forward, so grit doesn't get stuck between blade and surface which can scrape.
Yeah, I did the same thing I got excited when I found t he RUclips video of showing me how to get this off; however, that particular video made it look super easy - it wasn't, and it didn't work on my stove top. I guess I'll try your version if I can find a razor blade like you have.
Lo hice y me resultó ! Es fantastico. Se me quemó sobre la estufa el plastico del contenedor de la mantequilla y lo sacó todo luego de dejarlo actuar por Mas de 3min y restregar con una esponja

Lol my daughter just put a bagel bag on the stove right after I cooked so this came in handy.

Did the same mistake. Thanks

Other methods seem more effective. Easy Off and a wooden scraper on a warmed surface seemed the best.
