Thanks Ajhan Jotipalo and Blake for sharing your amazing opportunity brimming with nature's incredible connection with heart and soul. It's incredible internal and external challenges. Another nice walk in the park. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
Wish I could be out there with you all. I finally landed a permanent position within the NPS which should lead to a steadier, more predictable life that is more amenable to long distance travel. May you both be well and happy. -Ranger Chris
Yeah, I found food to be an issue that I haven't worked out on multi days. I don't eat meat, so I had a couple of the veggie trail mixes, and they were salt bombs. The first one hit the spot, the second one not so much. I was craving baked potatoes or rice with veggies. Its fun getting everything dialed in. I need a lot more hikes to make that happen. It looks like so much fun, and quiet. ;)
Yes it feels like it will take several years to dial the food into what will work. We met some older hikers who looked well dialed-in, they said they eat like squirrels 🐿️ (nuts, seeds and two or less protein bars).

Just returned from another paradise trip. Only a few more backpacking trips then back to Canada. It has been great, and this trip has shown me the value of stability and being in one place. 😉

What a beautiful area! I went to Muir Woods back in the 80's, it was a short visit as we were only in CA one day before flying to Hawaii. It was gorgeous!
I’ve driven by Muir Woods so many times but the monastery was always on a business trip or going to the airport…. so never stopped. Life is too short, so hopefully I’ll stop next time.
The part of the video where you're driving on the road a few feet from a steep mountainside cliff was a fear of heights mortality moment for sure! Be careful, friends!
I loved Blake’s “ Call of the Wild” at the end of the video. I know that feeling. Happy sauntering!
Blake laughed out loud and gave a thumbs up, whenI read him your comment. Thanks!
Thanks so much for taking us along! So beautiful & mesmerizing…and fun! ❤
Our pleasure. We hope to produce a few more videos about the second half of this trip and the last couple trips we are planning.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks !
Spectacular! Thank you so much for sharing. 🙏🙏🙏
Our pleasure, both doing the trip and posting about it. Thanks.
Again, breathtaking
This was a long drive from Mariposa, but the hike up to Matlock Lake was 4 miles, also well worth the effort.

Such joy in your message! Thanks George.

They also dehydrated a lot of their meals, starting to make them months in advance.
@@Jotipalo Yeah, I would like to try our a dehydrator sometime.

I see near the end that Blake is enjoying the earth element, kind of like the monk (formerly a king) in the suttas who kept saying "Oh what bliss"
Good comparison!

So great!! Is it a a butterfly at aprox 6:50'? Thank you for sharing Bhante 🙏🏼!!! 😊
My Sierra Nevada field guide book does not show anything exactly like this, but I’m pretty sure it is a White-lined Sphinx Moth!
Amazing... 😊!!

I think Blake was so focused on the center line, he didn’t even notice the cliff edge! 🤣
