A tour of Disney Cruise Line's private island, Castaway Cay. Castaway Cay is Disney's private island in the Bahamas and is always a highlight of their Caribbean cruises.
I miss this island so much! Can't wait to go to this paradise again!!!
I'm still missing this island and I need a vacation so bad! Hopefully we will get to go back soon. It's almost been a year since we were there. A true paradise!!!
Love this island! We were lucky enough to do a double dip to Castaway Cay on the Fantasy recently after the ship came out of dry dock. This island never disappoints me. Even got to meet Pete!
My family and I leave in 8 days we can't wait it's our first time on a Disney cruise and we've heard really good things ❤️🛳️😃
I'm going on the Dream later this year, but I've been on two other smaller (not Disney) ships before. These ships are so large you don't feel them moving. If you're worried about sea sickness take some Dramamine for insurance but I don't think you'll have a problem. Go and have fun!!
Recently came back from another Disney Cruise and the food is still great!
I have never felt more happier and safer on any other island, including all private islands. I miss Castaway Cays :(
Went this past Dec, great weather and certainly a hightlight to our cruise!!
I can't wait to go in october! My first cruise! I am going for my birthday! It is a 7 day one! SOOOOOO excited!
Cool I went on that almost three years ago it's really fun
How's Twilight?
Lol
Lol
I am going next year November
Looks like you had fun!
I love this place!
the Bahamas is so beautiful
@jukio02 Food on Castaway Cay is included like it is on the ship itself.
Oh goody! Happy happy, joy joy!
I would like to be in that private island like that. I've never been on any cruise ship in my life ever! I always worried if I ever get seasick or something. This is like Gilligan's island but not deserted.
Just remember you get what you pay for. Disney is high-end and known for service and food. The only cruise line that has fireworks going off the ship. They also don't charge for soda like other lines. They charge more up front, but other lines get their money with all the nickle and diming they do. I think it is well worth the money, plus I know some people that cruise with them just to go to Castaway Cay which is a paradise it itself. Alot for adults to do on water and on land.
awesome food
I think the food is GREAT!!!
omg! im going to my first cruise ever, on the fantasy. in nov. yes we got a cabana... Anyone else going in Nov.
The food and the whole island are wonderful, if you don't believe me, try Carnival, ugh!
Good point. The others make their money in the casinos and drinks. So is the food on castaway cay included?
Got to disagree with you about the food, I think it's good :)
name of the song in the background please? :)
whoever says disney is known for food...ur right..expensive ass bad food...dont get me wrong disney is the main vacation spot for my family and i love almost everything about it except the food
Also, if so, how much do they cost?
is the food there free? or do you have to pay for it?
@jukio02 the only food that is free is on the ship
Please someone answer this question: - do you have to pay for the water bikes, boats, etc.? Just wondering if the only thing you can do without paying money is going on the beach?
yes, there is a fee for all rentals, we usually do the package that includes bike (not water), float and snorkle, well worth it. Bike trails are really nice, multiple snorkel areas.
I love Disney, but just the prices are out of this world. It's not that I won't pay it, but for 4 nights it almost seems like a joke. I wish I could go here and sail on the wonderful ship, but I could go on 2 7 nighters for that price. :(
first thing i go 2 gift shop
I have a question that is holding me back. Does it feel like your on a boat or do you not even feel the boat moving? somebody please answer ASAP
juliana banana You do not really feel the boat moving but it kind of feels like your balance if off if the seas are rough. I got sea sick on a cruise years ago but didn't feel any movement. Just felt off balance. The medication bonine does work though. wish I took it sooner
+juliana banana ..eat a green apple daily!
+Hope I heard that too! I have since went on a Disney cruise and didn't get sick at all. Those ships are built much better than other cruises I've been on.
@melvinhot12 Too cool for Disney. B)
The island seems a little bit runned down ... or is it me ?
It is meant to look that way. The island is developed in the theme of a castaway community, with buildings made to look as if they had been improvised after a shipwreck.
