Agree with the stats not totally telling the whole story. When they get hits tell the story. Happ is classic, his whole career is made up of streaks. He’s either on fire or ice cold and when he’s ice cold, why is he hitting third? If you leave him in, drop him in the lineup. Ditto that for Morel. Hopefully Counsel starts using his head and either sit an ice cold hitter or move them down in the lineup.
That last home run that Happ hit was a super star swing...i know its easy to show out a bit when you know you have crushed one but that was a nice swing

They talk about hand placement, toe tapping, or batting posture, which sometimes includes a little🤏🏾 adjustment like squatting a little lower, or more upright, etc!! And also what would help is, if any coach or the manager, would tell them, with runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs, swing the bat if the ball is in the vicinity of home plate, quit guessing what's coming!!😠🤔 you get the point!!............In other words, I don't see any adjustments from anyone offensively!!🧐🤨🤪
About signing a big name!! That, in my opinion wouldn't happen because they want to win the "World Series" they wouldn't want to come to a club with no direction!! And, like you said, Jed wouldn't make that deal!! Like you said Sam, they run the Cubs like they're in a small market!!😠🤨😒

Busch may get slid over to 2nd to make room for another bopper at 1st base. This team tried to win by looking at the rest of the division and calculate how to be just 1 win better than them as opposed to building the best team they could.
Maybe, but Counsell still isn't the reason they're not currently a playoff team. I don't even think he's a bad manager. If they had an established closer since Opening Day like real teams who say they plan on contending do, then they would be in playoff position right now. But if Ross was here guess what, he'd pitch Alzolay too just like last season and we'd still have the same blown games. Not the managers fault they don't have a closer to work with
Morel and Swanson both look lost completely. Morel isn’t swinging anymore. He’s lost. He’s half swinging, checks all over the place, he’s been horrible. There’s nothing to speak of on the glove side. It’s almost a certainty he’s going down to AAA.
To be fair, the glove is definitely better than Wisdom last year. Not where it needs to be, but that's perspective(and he's still a better hitter than Wisdom and Mastro)

I personally think Morel was rushed to the big leagues. The raw talent is there, but didn’t have enough time to work on the fine tuning.
