It’s honestly really sad at how downgraded this ride has become. The storyline added so much to the ride! I wish SeaWorld put the time into restoring Journey to Atlantis to its former glory.
I'm sorry but this new version is just a joke compared to the original version.. it was a ride of terror where you really felt like you were entering an unknown and controversial world where at first you were welcomed but along the way the tension and the mystery take over... the synchronism of the effects with the sound and the path transformed this attraction into something unique.. it makes me sad to see what it turned into

This ride is so confusing to me. There's nothing to see during the inside part. Id call it "Journey to the inside of a Spa" ride. It looks like a high end spa, there's no story line, no characters, just some mediocre architecture. Snooze fest.
🤣🤣🤣 The first drop onwards is good. People have commented things have been removed, or things are no longer working since the ride first opened. We may have just ridden it on an "off' day.
There used to be a story about a siren named Allura who was trying to trap you in Atlantis (the glowing green eyes you see before the first lift hill is where she would lunge out at you) and a sea horse named Hermes who would guide you to safety

Journey to Atlantis is one of my FAVORITE WATER RIDES in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully it will have a bit of money spent on it at some point. It's not in terrible need of repair, but does need some love for sure.

Can't really remember the original in all honesty. Before this was filmed, we hadn't ridden it since 2004.
