    Combine this fan with a high efficiency engine like the ROTAX 912 ULS/S, and it can may be useful as a useful powerplant for high speed larger drones, or a single person small/fast aircraft of some kind.

    ok im too poor to make this. but there is a gyroplane that is counter balanced without weights, by mechanical design - structurally, you can position yourself - sitting in front of the fan, but have your weight balanced by attaching behind the fan. this would be quite unique, imagine vtol take off and very short wings for normal flight at high speed - maybe, someone try it out please

    Do you have any motors that can spin at the 18000 rpm limit of your fans?

    • @VasyFan
      @VasyFan  Год назад +1

      That motor with 18.000rpm and applied to EDF 250mm.

  • @ettrike
    @ettrike Год назад +1

    You have at 7000 rpm around 2300N via CFD, this is what eVTOL market is looking for around 230kg of thrust, but the RPM is very high, maybe this can be reduced to 4500 RPM and the size of the EDF increased to 800mm, do you think this is a feasible solution: 800mm EDF, 4500 RPM, power max around 70kw (same as in your run) ?

    • @VasyFan
      @VasyFan  Год назад +4

      To achieve this stated kw force I believe a 900mm diameter EDF would be required. We can also design and manufacture an EDF as you mentioned, but to make it we need a minimum number of units!

    Very nice EDF, what was the RPM at the 1421 N of thrust? You are at around 2kg/kw which is nice, do you think that 4kg/kw is possible with a bigger EDF?

    • @VasyFan
      @VasyFan  Год назад +2

      Thank you. The fan runs at 5200 rpm to get that thrust.
      Yes, with a larger diameter, the efficiency increase.

    • @ettrike
      @ettrike Год назад +2

      @@VasyFan Amazing, 5200 RPM will give you only 155 m/s as tips speed, which is too small, Amazing with only 155m/s tips speed you have 1400+N of thrust, imagine going to 7000 RPM !
