if you mean freezes as in your unable to move, you probably have some weird collisions. if your map is one big mesh, dont use a box collider use a mesh collider
I think you use a texture (any texture) and go to Assets>PhysicsMaterials and then I think you put them in the wall (or face or part) you want to be slippery
