Since I liked the Story of Yanxi Palace very much, I bet I will like the Legend of Haolan too!
I am a total sucker for this type of historical drama!
Wu Jinyan plays her roles beautifully!
apparently, except "Yanxi Palace", C-nets don't like Wu Jinyan's other dramas mostly because of her bad acting
and I'd agree to an extent, since I saw some clips of "Beauties at the Crossfire" and even with that awful cliche plot, her role was as awful
Untouchable lovers, yanxi palace, royal feast and legend of hao lan are my most favorite shows of hers.

Zhao Ji (basis for Li Haolan) was Lu Buwei's concubine who mastered at singing and dancing. During one public performance Ying Yiren of Qin (future King Zhangxiang), then a royal hostage (at the time his father the future King Xiaowen was then known as Lord An'guo) of the State of Zhao, was entranced. Lu Buwei then offered her in a similar manner to Campaspe
