    Hey Keithron, I'm glad you're here. I just bought one of these little Harbinger boards off of EBAY to use with my Steinberg UR22 MIDI interface for home / studio mixing and recording. I'll be running one vocal mic with a Digitech harmonizer, electric guitar, bass and a Roland MIDI 61 keyboard / synthesizer and sequencer through it. I don't have much workspace so I like the small footprint this Harbinger 8 channel mixer has. I looks like you'll be covering what I want to know, so once the board gets here, I'll be back.

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  8 месяцев назад

      If I were you I’d get the Sterling H224 or a Focusrite 2i2 instead. If your space is limited and only one mic… a sound board is not the way to go. You’re gonna add complexity. A simple interface is the better way to go. Although I have the Harbinger sound board it is NOT connected in my studio.

    I know I'm a bit late on this but I have this little mixer and it's pretty good for the most part. I do DJ stuff. The thing that drives me crazy is when using Bluetooth you're using channel 7/8 and as far as I can figure out you cannot EQ on the board and it just does not sound very good at all. Sometimes I can EQ from the source (phone, computer, etc) But it's just not as good as being able to EQ from the mixer itself. Unless I'm missing something?

      @@KeithronPowell Thanks for answer. I want to record a video with my phone. Sound comes from one xlr source and 2 microphones. Looking for the best solution. since I have to record long videos, the phone has to be constantly charged, so I don't want to occupy the usb-c port with a 32mm audio adapter. Could you have a good suggestion for this solution? I see a solution in a sound mixer that has a bluetooth output. I just haven't found one yet. Do you know such a sound mixer?

  • @adnap
    @adnap Год назад

    I have a question for you, my man. So, I used this mixer for a long time. I actually chose it because I wanted to mount it on my pedalboard.
    Being that it only weighs about 2 lbs, you couldn’t really ask for a lighter mixer to lug around.
    Recently, it died on me, due to a blown fuse, I believe.
    It only works now at full gain, and is still very quiet.
    I bought two mixers in its place to A/B I got the Asmuse NS-6BT and the Pyle PMXU43BT.
    One thing I noticed with the Asmuse, was that it had a bit too much Hiss for me, and to shorten things a bit, they both seemed to not have much of an increase in volume when the masters were turned from Unity to full volume. I don’t think either of the mic pres are very powerful.
    Should I just go back to the Harbinger ?
    It’s a little more difficult to access online and I needed something on the fly.
    The Pyle does sound pretty good once you get everything dialed in, but I thought I’d ask you because you seem to know your stuff, and I’m not well versed in the nuanced technicalities of mixers.
    I’m using it to run vocals and two guitar outputs from one guitar.
    I went through Mackie and Behringer and many others but they just want a bit too much cash for my needs.
    All I want is a good mixer with headroom, a 3 band EQ, and preferably XLR out mains. (Sorry so long) thank you!

      It’s still good to hear from others even if you think you’ve got it all figured out.

      Well, I went the complete other way, and got the Allen & Heath ZEDi-10.
