- Bernardo Raul Castro Mata, a Venezuelan migrant accused of shooting two NYPD officers earlier this month, was arraigned on Wednesday and confessed to police that he is a member of a notorious Venezuelan gang that is smuggling guns into city-run shelters.

We aren't allowed to open carry at all, and you have to apply for a NYS concealed carry license which typically takes up to six months to be approved, and that's only if you are a squeaky-clean person with no violent misdemeanor record(especially for domestic violence), or ANY felonies for violent or non-violent offenses. So, that is just to satisfy the state.
Then! If you live in NYC(all five boroughs), you have to go to city hall and show them your approved NYS conceal carry license, and then apply for a NYC carry permit.
You can't even own a pellet gun in NYC without being arrested, and there is no license to carry any gun that is not classified as a firearm, which bb and pellet guns are not, which is crazy that you can get a firearm licensed in NYC, but not an airgun(ass backwards).
You can't legally carry a lot of other weapons in NYC, that I can carry in the part of NYS I am from(knives, sling shot, bow and arrow, etc...).

If the shelter staff finds any weapon in your personal belongings wherever a person is sleeping in there, they will most certainly call the police to come get the weapon and the person that it belongs to.

I know for a fact that Walmart+ and Uber were given permission by this administration to hire them. My Walmart+ groceries are delivered by i.i.s after like 5 pm and Uber any time. They can't speak any English.
