I am glad Shabbir Ali is at least approaching these topics lately (i.e. tahrif, qira'at, ahruf, etc.) whereas most other scholars think the solution is sweeping it under the rug to hide their years of deception, while Muslims and non-Muslims alike have to hear about these topics from David wood, etc. (mind you, a bit more skewed than it should be).

Im confused, so the hadith about aysha and the goat he would just classify as not sahih? But isnt aysha one of the best narrators for hadith?

How can the Qur'an miss out on any verses when Allah himself has taken it upon Himself to protect it after revealing it?

Ok so the argument goes:
The only thing that I think that is missing from this conversation is that the Quran isn’t abrogating itself like some claim, but I’m fact is abrogating previous corrupted Books of Revelation (hence the the heavy focus on Jewish and Christian themes). The Quran confirms what is still correct in the previous Books and corrects what is not correct in the previous Books. This understanding of abrogation makes infinitely more sense.
So why if the Ayats that weren't necessary were taken away we have some ayas in the actual Quran that are no longer valid bc there is a newer one replacing it. For example in the case of the alcohol prohibition and so on.
The Qur’an was compiled during the life of the Prophet (S). The Prophet (S) said that he leaves behind for us the book of Allah (swt) and his progeny Ahlul Bayt (AS). He leaves behind what? The BOOK of Allah (swt). Let your rationality be your guide from here
Clarify my doubt: in Quran Allah answering to the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) based on the incident that happening on that time , then how it is relatable to us now???

Also the surah Al-Ahzaad has lost 1️⃣2️⃣4️⃣ayas. It was as long as surah Al-Baqhara originally (As Suyuyat 1:2). So actually even more ayas were lost, that Mr. Ally said⚠️⚠️⚠️
