Marceline was probably really upset about the fries being eaten by her father because up until that point in her life, she never really had ready access to food. Her mother died trying to get her to a bunker that had survivors and supplies, only to discover it devoid of people and food. And look at all the shit Simon had to go through just to get some soup for her.

Then how come Finn And Jake have their place stocked with food, and so many other residents of Ooo have access to fruits and vegetables? I think Simon went through hell getting her soup was more or less to show how bad things were not too long after the war, and to show he'd literally risk his sanity for her. We see her later as a teenager hunting vampires in a more modern Ooo so it's safe to assume until she turned she didn't have a hard time finding food.
I think whats crazy is all of as kids just assumed 'the Great Mushroom War' was some silly war between actually mushroom people. It took me quite a while to realize they meant mushroom CLOUDS and I was shook

Honestly, I hate the "(insert character) is in a coma" theories cause it seems like it shows up in EVERY tv show/movie that isn't set in a "realistic" setting. Pokemon (and some are apparently reviving that with the new protag Liko), The Simpsons, The Walking Dead, Harry Potter, Coraline, etc.
They are the LEAST fun theory a person could make about a show.
And we know those theories only exist because some people can't handle fiction and have to pretend it's all actually a documentary about some random person's dreams.
1:17:40 I think that pillow world existed and Finn bumped into Golb right before Golb destroyed pillow world but I think when Golb destroys a world every single thing related to it disappears which would explain why Finn didn’t remember pillow world

Well, Magic Man/Normal Man remembers Margles, but her death was a little different i.e. being eaten by Golb
I think another thing that probably affected Finns loss of memory of pillow world was his insecurity/uncertainty about him and Flame Princess’s relationship. in the beginning of the episode he tells Jake hes upset that FP didnt get his joke and he started saying stuff like “maybe its over between us” after Finn gets out of the pillow world he was about to tell Jake what happened while he was there (showing he remembered everything?) but hes interrupted by a call from FP where she tells Finn that she just now got the joke Finn told her and after this happens Finn completely forgets about his time in pillow world
@@0pheli0nBut pillow world probably created due to imagination of Finn. So it was all in his head like Fionna and Cake was in simons. So when Golb destroyed the pillow world they erased from finns mind too. Or it felt like a dream so he simply forgot

God this show is just amazing. From such a childish show evolving with its audience to become easily one of the greatest stories in recent TV history. The people who worked on this show absolutely loved their work and it shows so clearly.

You missed the mention of the Marceline "M" carved into the telescope of the character presumed to be Marceline searching for PB in the "PB future imprisonment" theory, which just serves to strengthen the theory imo

The cosmic imagination is this principle on steroids, basically. If no one is there to perceive the multiverse, then it doesn't exist.

Adventure time will always hold a special place in my heart. I didn't watch it up until 2 years ago when my now fiancee showed me it. He was in some deep trouble and had an ankle bracelet and wanted to show me some things that meant a lot to him. We finished the entire series just before he went to jail

That picture revolves around a primitive era of adventure time era, also known as the classic adventure time season 1-4. During that time the shows lore recently begin to depelop and many people use to think that the mushroom war only happen 12 years before the first episode, when Finn was only a baby, the guy with unindentified name is suppuse to be Finn's biological father and a scientist who turned into the Lich, due to the mushroom bomb, many people belived that the Lich was actually Finn's father, who abandon his son after getting corrupted and that Finn was accidentally saved by Simon and Marcy ice crown before the bomb drop, but they didn't notice, that's why he didn't mutaded. There use to be many fanarts about Finn's father being this kind of scientist who use to hang with human simon and human hunson before meeting Martin
Haha I remember that! Also it kinda made sense to me - Finn and the Lich seemed to have some sort of relation - atleast from lich's side - in the mortal folly he could have just killed Finn on the spott but instead he tries to lure him into a pool.of green thing

Adventure Time was my childhood! I loved the show even though I've lost my touch with it (not watching cable/satellite tv will do that). Seeing the growth that the show has gone through warms my heart and makes me excited to get back into the show again.
It's in my top ten satisfying show endings

Season 8 episode 6: Bun Bun…. If you’re watching on Hulu, two minute mark. Princess Bubblegum just said good bye to Cinnamon Bun, and the next scene starts with CB talking to 2 of his left behind friends from the Candy Kingdom.
One of which is Crunchy, a.k.a. Cousin Chicle! (Possibly spelled wrong, please forgive any misspelling and typos)
Cousin Chicle is questioned by CB: “Crunchy, still chewing that same piece of gum?”
From the nightmare juice in “Come Along with Me,” we know the candified people struck with dumbdumb juice still retain their higher thought function throughout the hundreds of years.
Cousin Chicle was expressing his frustration and anger by CHEWING ON A PIECE OF GUM!!!!
It doesn’t appear to have a face, but it does have a small bit of a smile. This is at the 2:10 mark on the Hulu version of the show (not sure if time stamps shift).
That is some of the most epic foreshadowing (or cool accident) I’ve ever stumbled across.
And if anyone else has already posted about it, I found it by accident today while watching the show as background noise. I didn’t research it, I decided to add it to the comments here so others could discuss the thought inspired by this awesome video!

Also this is pretty far fetched but if we do stick with the mutant idea and that the deer wanted to "get some" with pb, one might suggest that the deer is some sort of humanoid or candyoid deer hybrid which would explain the un deerlike behavior, the fingers and the want to "get some" with pb. As I said pretty weird and far fetched but I think it makes sense.

I just finished watching the series all the way through and it is amazing. It's once-in-a-lifetime stuff. I don't think we'll get another cartoon with such thorough world-building anytime soon.

It's pretty common to use psychedelics in the creative spaces, particularly design, and animation.
Is Midnight Gospel canned? It's been a minute since my wife and I heard about this show. Watched the first season and loved it. I hope it doesn't get the Bee and Puppycat treatment where there's just one season of the original show and then gets remade.

I don't think the mud puddle jake got his powers in was a retcon, I think it was implied jake didn't get his powers from mud in the first place and the mud puddle was just the first memory he had of his powers being expressed

In Fionna and Cake we see that Golbetty is in the same black void as Golb, but that the universes are surrounding her. So I think it is Finn going between worlds from one side of Golb to another

What about the character submitted by a young fan,Me-Mow, that ended up making its way into the show. Cartoon Network bumpers for the episode also play up this fact
going with the multiverse thing pillow world was probably like a subversion of the multiverse finn created in his mind so it was real while he was there, but as soon as he died no one was there to percieve it anymore so its destroyed. which is why we see golb

When I was watching this I thought that too! I could have sworn I saw a scrapped storyboard involving the three of them. But turns out my childhood memory was just unreliable. Still made for some great theory fodder at the time. I like the idea of a scientist becoming a complete embodiment of death.

watching Adventure Time as an adult who grew up in the same time as Pendleton Ward I think the references to things hits differently. It shook me that yall were getting this shit in your childhood, but we had that shit too, but in real time not history...anyway this gives me hope for the future, even among the gloom
