Namjin has this kinda shy around each other relationship. And their personalities are polar opposites. They respect each other a lot for that.
Namjoon said when he's having a hard time, he thinks what Jin would do. Jin said when he is feeling unmotivated, he thinks what Namjoon would do and it makes him work harder.
Jin is the muse of RM. a lot of song lyrics are related to their minds. RM and Jin are the backbone of BTS. Jin is the wing man. My ultimate bias

The conversation they had about happiness in the restaurant in Malta in turn inspired RM to make an iconic speech asking ARMYs to use him for our happiness. I think Jin's look on life is very healthy for the other members. Jin on the other hand has a huge respect for RM's role as the group's leader. 💜

I've been an army since 2013 so I can remember vividly how everyone used to think of NamJin as the parents of Bts, and Bts themselves sometimes acknowledged it and joked about it (one moment that pops to mind is when they were in Hawaii at a restaurant and a performer there ask if any newly weds could stand up and Jin & Joon jokingly stood up for a second 🤣) But I'm bringing this up because this joke didn't come out of nowhere, but because it fits their dynamic. On some Bon Voyage episodes for example, when namjin are by themselves they talk of the younger members and reflect on things and have meaningful conversations together. Seokjin being the oldest and Namjoon being the leader adds to this dynamic of love and respect. I love these two :)
And I'd like to clarify; I said people "used to" think of NamJin as the parents of Bts because as much as their dynamic still fits this description, people brought up how it might seem disrespectful how armys used to call Jin "mom" because of Jin's love for cooking etc. so it could seem offensive. Of course there was and still isn't any ill intentions but I wanted to point that out! :)
The ship Namjin is almost a given for army. Whether it’s romantic or as close bros, it’s a beautiful relationship.
Jin’s attitude and his perspective of life is something which impressed me the most and made him my ult bias. He is just not my bias but my role model. Calling a Kpop idol as my role model would be weird to some ppl but it doesn’t bother me. Role mode is someone who influences, pushes and makes you better in what you do. And his influence on me is both subtle and impactful. I started being more cheerful and confident because of him. Thank you Jin.. 💜
Jin lives & breaths their love yourself mantra. Imagine learning to sing & dance from 0 while being surrounded with people that are naturally good at it and who’s been doing it for years. Im sure the internal challenge he faced was tremendous plus the external pressure from big hit & the industry. To overcome it is commendable. His mental fortitude & resolve is incredible. RM pulls everyone in. He is sensitive & thoughtful which is why he is perfect for the leader role.

jin has a perspective to life that i think we should all aspire to have
both yoongi, jimin and joon have said how they admire the way jin takes life, which is a very light and bright approach, of not overthinking things too much and prioritizing your happiness, since it's all that matters in the end
not saying jin doesn't face mental struggles, but me having real bad anxiety, i definitely admire the way he carries himself and i hope one day i can be like that too
also, just an fyi,namjoon said that he first thought of the concept for the love yourself era after he had that conversation with jin in hawaii (the one where they are at a restaurant at the beach), when jin said that he uses other people around him to be happy, namjoon thought about how armys should use bts in order to be happy too and in order to loving ourselves (a lyric from magic shop, a song made for army: "you gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you")
in a way, jin has this crucial hidden role in bts to keep things light and not let the huge expectations on them get to their heads :)
The leader and the oldest discussing about life and the group and philosophy. RM and Suga are another duo that just respect each other so much as well and those three together with Hoseok hold the group together as hyungs.
Jin's Outlook on life ....yep. it's so refreshing n unusual yet healthy. Admirable really. Their talk about happiness actually forms the basis of one of RM's most iconic speeches where he implores Army "I am using you guys to love myself. So, Use Me...Use BTS to Love Yourself".
Also, NamJin is the only ship( romantic/ platonic however you want to perceive) that's universally accepted by all ARMYs😂
You will find NamGi bond similar(minus the clowning🤣)...mature, sensible, mutual respect n admiration for eachother n a healthy creative give n take between the two. Do check it out if possible.

I have noticed that RM is usually the one to start these deep conversations with members. (Jimin and Suga too sometimes). Both namjoon and jimin have said that they initially couldn't understand Jin's attitude towards life cuz they used to take everything seriously and that Jin helped them to understand that not everything needs to be a 'do or die' situation.

Keep in mind how young RM was to be not just a leader to 7 boys but have the whole company on his shoulders. Jin has been a big support to him and he stays beside RM in most interviews especially older ones as silent support. JHope helps keep them organized in stage and cleans/nags, Jin helped raise all the boys as the oldest and is one of RMs main supports who he respects. It’s interesting all their roles. RM credits Suga for pushing from the back and keeping them motivated etc. and the Maeknaes are the hyper/talented puppies most people notice first. Jin also provides a lot of support to the Maeknaes as they need JK the most then Tae, and Jimin as he’s needed it. Really they are such a great family.
Please do more RM videos, there are so many great ones about his relationships with the other members. I especially love Namgi!!!!
Another very wholesome duo (which to me seems very underrated and understated) is Namgi (RM + Suga) - I think you'll really enjoy their interactions!

In his debut day I think jin given cool concept cause he actually look like ice prince actually and maybe he is not fond of it cause it's his true nature but after the debut he create new powerfull yet cheerful character
This is one very important aspect of their friendship--the mutual respect and the growing together--but they are also called nonsense partners. They really are just chaotic together. And funny. They entertain each others' sense of humor which can be dad-ish and a little awkward. It's such a fun dynamic. Plus their fathers are actually best friends. They golf together all the time, Namjin said they see each other more than the boys do, and they get together to watch BTS things like online concerts. So their families are close. Namjin is my comfort duo.

I think Namjin is one of the most agreed upon ships, its the one ship that is quite undisputed by both the members and ARMY. Jimin once joked that Namjoon and Jin look like a married couple, it was funny. I think its sweet, they have such an adorable bond. 💜

My favorite would be this NamJin, JinKook and TaeGi + Hope with the Maknae line! 💕
These two are very subtle but, love each other a lot. Namjoon has even mentioned that he needs Jin beside him when he's particularly nervous or anxious.
On more than one occasion they have stated that their fathers are now best of friends. RM joked that they see one another almost daily…a lot more than he sees Jin now. Their families also gather for meals, celebrations, etc. I think that is very sweet, and adds to their closeness.
i feel like if you let namjoon, jimin and yoongi loose, they'll go into really deep, emotional and philosophical conversations
all of the members talk about their feelings and stuff, but these three and especially rm and jimin together, just go on and on about these things, it's really interesting
they also bring up this aspect on the other members, i think, like in this case, jin is usually a more of a silly guy but with joon he can go deep and be comfortable doing that

Jin often felt that he didn't measure up to his much older brother growing up. It's a common trend given that the oldest son gets more perks and respect. Through the years, Jin learned to be himself and filled that role of an oldest member, with his prior perspective as the younger brother. In his interaction with others, Jin is able to bring himself down to their level (so humble). Meanwhile, Namjoon is definitely the leader of the group, but had he also been the oldest, I think he would have had a hard time. Instead, he had Jin, who likes to share his experiences and advise the younger ones (although Suga being notorious for not listening). There, Namjoon had an outlet to be himself, child-like at times, forgetful and destructive in many ways.
