Hi Phil, thanks for the review, re speaker issue, I have an old car, so connect my iPhone to play through the radio / car speakers via an FM transmitter it works really well - just wondered if this was possible with this unit?

Hi Phil I was looking at this product but I was concerned you could not put the size of the vehicle in as you can on the Garmin Camper Navigation. Is this option available on any of the apps you use or how would you get around this when you are in the truck. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
Good spot, although Carpuride state it's for larger vehicles, there's no app that allows you to enter size and weight perimeters (that I'm aware of).
For the past two years we've been running our truck sat nav (with size & weight) alongside a mix of
Google maps
Apple maps
and Maps.Me on a different device.
The reason for this, (running two devices) is sometimes our truck sat nav takes us the most ridiculous route (2hours when it should be 35mins) and it's usually because there's no access to freight, not a weight or height restriction.
And although we're a truck, we're technically a "motor caravan" on our V5.
So sometimes we just need to exercise a little common sense (we've never been pulled).
We've used lots of sat navs over the years including Tom Tom, Garmin, Blaupunkt and Ohrex, my choice would always be Garmin mapping (with layers) on a tablet.
I'm not sure there’s a perfect nav/infotainment device for a truck camper (as apposed to a motorhome)... they've all got pro's and con's.
