To this day I still listen to Wayne and all of Static-X on a daily basis. His mantra of making simple, yet catchy as fuck music that people could easily rock out to without needing huge licks and solos (aside from some of Koichi's work on later albums) always stuck with me. Not many bands can make a whole verse with basically one power chord sound as good as he does.
jesus, i had no idea his wife committed suicide, last thing i heard from her was that she was gonna try to work on unreleased songs from Wayne. Guess it was to much to bare :(
I miss Wayne Static so much. Him and his band was honestly one of the best things from my youth. His music inspired me a lot and was extremely relatable. I wish he could have continued his career because all of his songs were just amazing. He was an amazing person.
Wayne really said: artillery, charge, dirt, substance abuse. I love you Wayne Rick Wells RIP🎸 the song is a book btw, and I hope StaticX can exist w/o Wayne...
It's super sad that he died and were never gonna hear his genius again. But at least he went out in style. Doing what and who he loved. Its grim but, good for him!
This video became co insanely hard to find. Seems like youtube wants to hide it. Does not show up in the search at all for me... good thing I have it in liked.
r.i.p. Wayne and Tera Static...sooooo many times over the years this song and Static X in general chilled me out when I was feeling at my lowest with depression and anxiety.
Yeah he died from respiratory depression from those aforementioned drug combos. Supposedly he didn't even take more than he normally would. But the abuse will catch up to us all eventually. Be healthy and keep rocking 🤘 my fellow metal heads
Having listened to Pighammer, I can totally see where Static X could have gone to in a modern sound. For a solo albumn, this song stands out an completely draws me in.
+Cameron Metzke one of the least catchy songs i ever heard him perform, so in that area, this is crap, they made much better music, you should check out more! ciao :D
+Mat Pearson Lol, it's more than that to be honest... i mean your comment sounds like some shit a religious person would say.... but anyone with a fully functioning brain knows..religion is the problem. Religion is about mind control, slavery... thought control..and many other things..like giving hope, building a community. the thing here...is these people obviously had some mental issues, Religion doesn't help with any kind of sickness, it only makes it worse, I keep telling people...we need philosophy lessons in school, we need people to learn skepticism..and to stop lying about mental health, education and poor mental health are 2 of the top 10 biggest problems in the world... For example..you are right, this....idea of being cool... is partially to blame for the collapse of society, the culture is poison as intelligence is no longer valued and...in fact..has always been made fun of, because intelligence is how you live right....Emotional and Professional and Rational intelligence, but now...people are more than every invested in professional and emotional, but lacking in rational...or like me..investing in rational, but lacking in emotional or professional.... get me? There's no balance in today's society. too much socializing, or too little, too much ''uneducated gangster mentality'' in the ghetto or too little in the good parts of town, where people need to learn to be brutal. So no one rapes their kids or wives. i rambled a lot, but the point of this comment is to paint a huge picture ..so you can understand what you are actually up against, good luck and godspeed. :)
In 2014 Wayne was balding badly, its odd to think that if he were alive today who knows how long it would be before he wasn't able to do his iconic hair anymore
Damn. I forgot Wayne died. Static x was my first real concert when I was in 5th grade.(static x,deadlights, slaves on dope, taproot) Helped guide me towards metal. More into much heavier stuff as got older but I'll still jam some static.

hey hod d ... if you truly loved Wayne then y disrespect his wife? he loves her that should be enough reason for all to keep their negative comments to themselves. :( Wayne tera I F**K*N MISS u guys!!!! going to get the cats wish me luck! ! God keep you both! !
The reason people dislike her is that they blame her for his death and they're right at least partially. The rumors for years were that they were extremely co dependant emotionally and at least in her case financially as well. They were also both recurring drug addicts which is a recipe for disaster, typically when one of you relapses you both relapse, and if you both can't get clean you just decide to stay wasted. The big rumor was that she was one of the consistent reasons none of the original Static guys could be around him for too long and I heard multiple people tell me they were openly vocal about it to pretty much anyone who asked. You can tell the feeling was pretty much that she had no business being onstage inserting herself into the spotlight. Anytime she was onstage with the original Static guys they just looked uncomfortable and resentful as fuck. The reality is that Wayne and Tera killed EACH OTHER and sadly a lot of people felt like they saw it coming just not when it finally did happen. RIP to them both.
heroin? fuck no! he didnt die from ANY overdose... it HELPS to get your facts right.. that video was based on how their - wayne and tera - lives WERE at one point. but, i dont think he EVER used heroin...
Aren, I think he did at one point. Tera brought him off the deep end with all of the heavier drugs. But they were still doing pharma pills and boozing it hard till the end. The arm chopping motion he makes when he says 'artillery' is heroin through and through. And while I'm glad he was able to shake it.. The assassins of youth still got him in the end.
