I loved the whole "Get to Know Us" campaign. Back in the day, we only received 13 channels through cable. Channel 29 was a treat once we were able to tune in with rabbit ears.
We didn't get cable until 1984. We had to get it through wires and alligator clips. ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, PBS, CBC, CFTO, CHEX, CITY TV, CKCO, CKVR, and then later Much Music, and later on those other specialty channels.
I think there is one more version of this where the "turn your darkness into light..." lyric has a segment from a StarBlazers episode where a fighter explodes. Anyone find that?
I dedicate this song to turning to the U channel back in the day and then turning the second knob to channel 29😊.
