    I found this short really really inspiring and technically perfect (lightning, motion, character's design, storytelling...). For a little while, i felt i was watching some kind of professional artwork, with an animation and photography crew.

    Really well done ! The animation is always incredibly fluid and the music is well chosen ! However, I must say I prefered the plot and the "creepy" esthetic of Euphoria. Even though this one isn't bad either, I just though the emotional side of the video was a bit cliché and less marginall than what you have previously done. This is a totally subjective opinion and I can see in the comments that many many people loved the emotion from the video but I thought it was important for you to know the plus and the minus (A lot of plus for only a few minus that aren't that important... but still) of your video from many people's opinion.
    Keep on the good work ! We are always looking forward your videos!

    • @Guldies
      @Guldies  9 лет назад +5

      nathan leblanc-limoges And I LOVE that you are telling me this! Thank you Nathan!I have to agree. Euphoria is and will always be my baby. Every part of that animation was made with joy and it was a real treat to animate every frame. I used all of my skills. Euphoria and Tic Toc are two very different projects. Tic Toc was more of a gamble, and trying out new things. Using puppets and replacements is not my cup of tea but I did it anyway. I wanted to try it out. It was more of a struggle to finish this piece. I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have, but it was necessary for me to finish it.I spoke to a friend today about how I thought everything was a bit cliché. I'm not joking. I totally agree with what you are saying.Euphoria was made with love and passion. Tic Toc was a struggle and trying out new things. But I am still damn proud of it

    This is so beautiful. Time isn’t limitless, we are but feeble creatures on borrowed time. Love it, whatever it is, while you have it… Tomorrow’s never guaranteed.

    I don't know how you do it. Once that timer reached zero, I just got hit by a brick wall of emotions. Your videos have a type of magic to them that makes the characters really seem alive.

    To see this and think this was 8 years ago, and the style, animation, audio, all of it being so flawless and clean, is incredible. It tells a story in 3 minutes, and yet it's an amazing story filled with emotion, and detail. What's even crazier is that this took you a single afternoon. Absolutely incredible! (edit: Although I'm only 14, and I still have a long way to go, I dream of getting into animation, 2D to start, but then progressing to 3D, and perhaps stop motion if I make it far enough! Your videos really help me have a better understand, and view point of stop motion, and the beauty within!

      +mcm alonzo I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you! And yes, I took ALL the frames (!!!) and made the eyes shinier in photoshop. I know there are easier ways to do it but that's how I did :)

    Everything about what I just watched is brilliant, the quality, the smoothness of the animation, the work gone into it, but best of all, the fact that it did the impossible... I never thought that I would feel sad for a Robot...

    Amazing. The movements are so smooth, and that timer counting away to the creature's demise was genious. The final realization, that "wow, that was actually it, it won't live ever again", just... Wow :)

Thank you for making these shorts, they have inspired me a lot for my upcoming project and I see that there are still people out there like you who use their creativity correctly. This is most definitely the most adorable videos I've seen in a while. You're animations are some of the best ones that me and my sister love watching together. Whenever she comes from school, we both check your channel for new videos. Seriously, keep making more amazing animations and stick with the clay, people have abandoned stop motions and you are awesome for keeping it cool.
